Bruins to win in Five!!

I apologize to my friends up north, for the Bruin's brutal beating of the Canadiens . It’s going to be a quick and painless exit for the Habs! I heard that some of the team members have already planned there vacation that starts in about 9 days. :D

Just kidding its going to be a great series!! I had to fire the first shot:p

Thornton's injury has been confirmed that it's his ribs. He WILL be back for this series if not the first game. Either way, a 50% Joe Thornton is still alot better than a 0% JT.

Bruins in 6, with me cheering from the balcony of the Bell Centre ;)

Playoff fever is near

I believe the Habs can beat the B's in 6. It will all depend on Thornton's injury, of course.

I believe Theodore can once again play incredible as he did 2 years ago and single-handedly win the series.

Raycroft is a rookie, which means he risks choking under pressure.

If Mtl wins, who they play next will all depend on the other series' winners. If the Isles beat the Lightning, Mtl wouldn't play them since they are seeded higher than the Isles. They would play against one of the top-seeded teams.

My friends in Montreal the tires of the Bandwagon have falling off and the wagon is on fire!! The Canadiens are simply out matched in every category.

The Canadiens can only play for pride, because they are going down in four! Raycroft was unstoppable A shut out in his first playoff game. I will give Theodore credit he was the only Canadien that showed up to play!!

I know it’s only one win, but you have to admit the future of the Canadiens 2003-2004 season looks grim!!! Raycroft looks just as good as Theodore, and the Canadiens first line doesn’t even look as good as the Bruin’s forth line.

The loss tonight shows how intelligent the Habs can be, you lose the first and then roll over the opponents thereafter!! W should look at the strategy being deployed by the Habs and learn from it!!!!

Flashes-in-the-pan

Speaking of flashes-in-the-pan, does anyone remember goalie Jim 'The Mask' Carey? He played with Washington and the Bruins. He won the Vezina (top goaltender) one year, and soon after, poof!!! He pulled the ol' disappearing act.

It's a very long series. Boston is expected to win at least 1 out of 2 games at home. Mtl could win the next game and gain the momentum. If they don't, they can still win the next 2-3 at home. Who knows....maybe Kovy will wake up!

Willyapd, you could have been in the Bruins goal at that time with Bobby Orr in front of you. As much as I hated the Bruins at that time this man played the game & controlled it like no other before or since & that includes Gretzky.

Stripper lover I could not agree with you more, although I wasn't old enough to ever see him play! From the hours of taped games I have seen he was defiantly the most dominant.

thanx for the spelling lesson I will fix my post:)

Yes, I remember him, I think his nickname was the "net detective" from the film star Jim Careys movie the Pet Detective

Regarding Bobby Orr, I am not old enough to remember him. What was his game like? Was he more like Scott Stevens or Brian Leetch or Chris Pronger? How good or effective would he be in today's NHL?

Bobby Orr had a style to himself He Was a un-believable defensive Defenseman and twice as great in the offensive zone!

It was like Grezky in his prime playing a bunch of juniors. I have a film of him killing a penalty single handily skating with the puck for well over a min, and towards the end of the penalty scoring a shorthanded goal. They say that he apologized to the other team afterwards for making them look silly.

I personally believe that he would have been just as good today as he was back in the day. The equipment that the players have today is far better than it was 30 years ago!! Not to mention when he blew out his knee docs could have repaired his knee.
Orr would have had a longer career if he played today.
