This is an El Nino year which does have something to do with the weather, to argue it does not shows inability to accept more information than programed to.

I read that article. Patrick T. Brown didn't deny climate changes, he expressed reserves on the direct links with forest fires in 2023 spring and summer.

Recent devastating floods in Vermont and now in Massachusetts are alarming. Heavy rain and flooding occur naturally, but the growing frequency and intensity of storms are a direct result of human-caused climate change. Burning fossil fuels emits carbon dioxide into the atmosphere where it builds up and traps heat. A warmer ocean causes more water to evaporate into the air. Warmer air holds more water resulting in heavier rain. It's not too late to act, and act we must!
