UK on lockdown:

Like all varieties of Corona virus. like cold and flu bugs, the covid19 virus is mutating. A new variety first appeared in Spain and now is rampant in Europe. It seems to spread easier than the older version and is causing a second more deadly wave. As far as we know it hasn`t landed on American shores yet but its only matter of time. A vaccine will have a tough time controlling a virus that mutates as often as a cold virus.

Incorrect, Coronavirus is nothing like cold and flu bugs, also known as Influenza H1N1. Influenza H1N1 and Coronavirus COVID-19 are completely different. The last influenza pandemic (Spanish Flu of 1917) isn't even close to the current Covid-19 pandemic. 500 million died in the Spanish Flu as it mutated quickly into 2nd and 3rd waves. When compared to the common flu, Influenza, the corona virus is slow to change. COVID-19 is very serious, but is nothing like the cold or flu bugs, not even close.

Looo its time you got educated about the common cold. While the majority of colds are caused by the rhinovirus, several other viruses like coronaviruses, cause colds too. Most types of viruses, if around long enough, will mutate.
They are more similar than different.
There are different strains of coronavirus that have been around for years. Covid19 is new and its definitely mutating as it spreads .

Opinion: Testing is the key to reviving travel and tourism
A pilot project in Alberta allows certain incoming travellers, including international visitors, to quarantine for only 48 hours.

^^Testing is the Key....
I have read where Airports are doing COVID Testing.
Coronavirus Testing Site Opens at Logan Airport (Boston)
Wednesday (October 28th) marks the official opening for airport and airline employees to get tested for coronavirus at Logan.

This Article quotes $200 for a Rapid Test.
Those who are tested using the PCR test or blood antibody test can expect results in 1-3 days and a cost of $75. Results for the rapid molecular test, which costs $200 upfront, would come back within 15 minutes, Satzman said. Travelers can schedule a test ahead of time online or walk up and get a test.

^^Seems a little pricey for the $200 Rapid Test.
Hopefully this price will come down.

Some people really don't believe in Covid, they even elected at the congress M. David Andahl who died of Covid in early October.

Yup, yup. But the link also does mention

“Britain today recorded another 492 Covid-19victims in the highest daily death toll since May — but infections are no longer spiralling.”

Just mentioning that for completeness sake

So again, damn, that’s a lot

Even marky Mark meadows says it’s cwazy. He even threw in towel on Tv

Although if you wear a mask, practice social distancing, wash your hands, u can come out safely from the inside of the closet to the outside. Especially if there’s low virus circulating in your community

The article also says: " Revellers packed out pubs this afternoon as they get the last rounds in before England nosedives into a second lockdown. Britons today also stocked up on clothes and homeware, getting ready for their last night out and squeezing in a final gym session for what is the 'last hurrah' for millions."

Yup, yup, that will help the count. Oh well, not a bright bunch those brits. Must be the uneducated working class. I hear from another thread that that group doesn't make good decisions.

Wasn’t there a study that recently showed secondary to a planes filtration system its highly unlikely to get transmission on plane?
I think if your gonna be tested before you get on, after you get off and you will be in relative isolation like on a beach in Turks and Caicos for 10 days, why not?

Wow, not even trying to be sarcastic, this is a lot of infections. Totally reflective of an administration ignoring COVID

What will sleepy joe do to make the #’s better? Lol, just about anything.

Trump is president for another 2 months and then some most likely. With 100000+ infections a day you may see a shit show in terms of hospitalizations and deaths in a few weeks that trump dumps on Biden?

Montreal - Quebec should have done more, sooner in schools to stave off 2nd wave, experts say

“A month after school started, cases were surging. Did the province do enough?...

Dr. Earl Rubin, director of pediatric infectious diseases at the Montreal Children's Hospital, said schools clearly played a role in the resurgence of the virus in September.

CBC News spoke to two other experts who also linked the reopening of schools to the September spike.
Rubin said the failure to make masks compulsory in the classroom from the start of the school year contributed to the spread of the virus...”

^^”failure to make masks compulsory”

The Kids wouldn’t wear them?
No one wants to be forced, to do a lot of things. I don’t want a Mask debate. I wear a Mask.

“In an effort to nudge infection rates downward, the government announced Grade 9 students will be taught remotely every second day, a measure that already applies to students in Grades 10 and 11...”

^^I wonder with Remote Learning, how many Students have Good/Adequate Internet access?

“Montreal Public Health Director Dr. Mylène Drouin, however, has warned that schools remain a problem, saying last week they account for most of the city's outbreaks...”

Around the corner
Never fear Biden is here.
It will all be under control in no time.
He is president for all Americans and believes in the scientists even if they sometimes say masks are not necessary and then change their mind and say it is essential.

Somehow though when the US reaches the 1 million death tally it will still all be Trumps fault, and CNN will be praising the Democrats and waving blue flags made in China of course.

Here is how ridiculous some of the red zone restriction rules are.

A high school teacher spends all day with 25-30 kids ( it is only recently that they have to wear masks) he spends hours in the staff room with other teachers during breaks in his teaching schedule. Kids are bunched up against each other and next to him in the corridors when entering and leaving.
However he cannot allow any of the same teachers or kids into his home or backyard without facing a $1000 + $500 in administrative costs fine if he is living with a wife or girlfriend.

It is now in all the papers that schools are spreading the virus much more than restaurants, bars and gyms, but our politicians are doing their best to hide this from the public as they were the ones insisting on keeping them open.

Oh there you go again Fradi with the whole mask Fauci stuff. By the time trump leaves, he will have handed sleepy joe 150000 new daily infections. But it’s not his fault cause you can’t control it, can’t even try.
