The only measure that could have somewhat worked was to restrict non-nrecessary travels.

In some States, people get paid to get vaccinated.
Apparently the amount is too low !
In NYC last year, there were payments of $400 as I recall to some residents to get vaccinated. I heard that a lot of people held out for more money. I think these demands for greater compensation were met, but only up to $600. This program was big in the Bronx because they had one of the higher rates in NYC.

Paying for vaccines with taxpayers money is unfortunate but needed to get the majority jabbed, But paying blackmail and bribes with hundreds of dollars to the unvaccinated with taxpayers money is disgusting.

It is, but it did happen in NYC, and I think local health department heads were making these decisions. It may be that they received a certain allotment of monies and were told to do their best. Many people probably refused the $400 to get jabbed, and the refused monies in effect created a large fund with which to bribe willing recipients a little more than $400. Obviously the money eventually runs out. But their jobs were to get people vaccinated and they would tell you, "we did our jobs."

BTW I know someone who used to work in a large city health department that got federal grants and usually those employees are given wide latitude and discretion on disbursing grant monies based on need for the funds. So the health department authorities in Bronx may have said to themselves if we have to pay a few hundred more to get more fannies vaccinated, let's do it. As you said it is blackmail and bribes, but I think it's mostly playing out on a very local level. And these were "calculated bribes"' in response to opportunistic blackmail. It happens in all capitalist societies.

This did make me wonder if such a vaccination program existed in Halloween Mike's hometown, what amount of money gets him vaccinated? $1000? $5000? Could he say no to $10,000?
I believe that all pro-vaccine militants on this board should collect money covering Mike’s 5 hours SP sessions and also hotel for 5 days if he is vaccinated :D

A COVID party, when I think of hospital staff.

Passengers who smoke electronic cigarettes in the cabin, others who drink their personal bottles of alcohol, dancing without masks and even sexual acts in the air, this is the ordeal experienced by flight attendants on December 30th.

According to our information, around 100 people boarded the Sunwing company plane.
The aircraft had been chartered by a private club that organized a trip from Montreal to Cancun, Mexico to celebrate New Year's Day ... far from Quebec sanitary measures.

I hope for severe penalties.
They should be banned for flights for at least one year.
They say they are influencers, that mean they make money by posting absolutely useless things on the web !

I won't give Halloween Mike a cent, especially when I read that he had met 5 escorts in 2021.

I recall it being as much as $100, but this was NYC mayor at the time offering free fries and a hamburger to get vaccinated:

Elvis Gratton dirait: "Wow! 1 million de cas en une seule journée! Les Amaricains, ils l'ont tu l'affaire? Think Big Stie!" :(
Of course there is plenty of sarcasm here...

Air carrier Sunwing has decided to cancel the flight that was to bring back the hundred Quebecers who were partying without masks aboard one of its planes, the day after shock images published by the Journal.

Ce n'est qu'un début.

I say No to even $100 000 .No is no. My honor and values don't have any price and they don't change frequently. For this reason I feel strong , healthy and lucky.

Do you guys think these stats will lead to another border shutdown?

Common sense would say no, so that means yes.

Seriously, I don't think Justin has it in him to do it unilaterally. So look to Joe.
The minute they sense the southern border is a risk, they will close the northern border as well. But I don't believe they will.

i hope they dont mess with the border- dont think they will. i plan to come up to quebec to ski near the end of jan so i am keeping my fingers crossed. i just returned from 3 weeks in london and was there as covid began to spike- appeared to hit the uk just after south africa and i am told this was probably because of lots to traffic between the two countries. i thought boris johnson made the right decision in not shutting the country down (i dont often agree with johnson). this was against the advice of his scientific advisory council and a calculated risk. he was betting that there wouldnt be a proportional increase in hospitalizations and it appears he was right. i agree with those that feel omicron will put an end to the pandemic (i am usually an optimist) i feel that nature has provided us with a "vaccine" that even the anti-vaxxers cant avoid. a milder form of covid that spreads rapidly through the population and will not harm most- especially those vaccinated. of course, a few anti-vaxxers may die but that was their choice. early data shows that those who get omicron (especially those previously vaccinated) will have a very strong immune response to covid. hopefully, we will finally reach herd immunity. it does make sense that this could be the natural course of a pandemic. we should expect that less deadly mutated forms of the virus would become more dominant- a virus that is deadly does not spread as well. i find this somewhat comforting.

Here's some background on a study that links vaccination to levels of education
In the cbc article they did cover their asses.
"It's important to not conflate a person's highest level of academic achievement with their intelligence"
There is also from my opinion a lot of indoctrination in modern education.

From MSN mainstream news:

Americans with PhDs are most reluctant to get vaccinated ...

Maybe that MSN Microsoft Bill Gates Foundation news article is a coded warning to PhDs.
PhDs will be needed to pass on knowledge into the future hint hint.
