I am in my 60s. And I did rate GND as above average, just not enough for me to turn my head. Even though I am older and appreciate banging tight 20-year olds, I am still discriminating about facial looks 
Girl Next Door. Average looking, nothing special. I have seen quite a few 9's by reviews here and they were GND to me. Rating looks is like rating music or art, everyone has their own scale they go by, it does not mean the other person is wrong in their ratings.
I'm with you Count. I think that GND is beauty without the glamour or overt sexiness. It's an issue of style I think. There is a certain je ne sais quoi that makes them GND and I cannot explain it but I know it when I see it. She is not covered with tattoos and hooks and piercings from head to toe and you do not look at her and say "model" or "escort." She looks like what you to believe to be a typical college going girl and she doesn't look like the stereotypical escort and maybe there is less overt sexiness on display...I understand it less after reading this thread.

I don't see the point of using "girl next door" to mean something other than young, dependable & wholesome in appearance. This is how it is commonly understood to English speakers the world over.

Ryhanna girl is a poor man’s Rihanna. It’s not meant to be an insult to her beauty, but a way to compare. You might say the Ariana Grande girl is a poor man’s Ariana Grande. Both anonymous girls are both beautiful in their own right.
