Among his other proposals he wants to change the policy to allow the construction of buildings taller then Mount-Royal. Another stupid idea. We do not want another NYC or Toronto with nothing but tall grey skyscrapers. Since the last five years the political leaders are so bad. No good leaders. I would choose Plante over Coderre any day. But reality is both these leaders suck. On the federal level we got the worst crime minister in Canadian history. Trudope is the absolute worst.

The municipal election campaign hasn’t even started, but mayoral candidate Denis Coderre is already mired in controversy for denying that he texted while driving.

On the weekend, the Journal de Montréal published a photo taken by someone showing Coderre at the wheel of his car, looking down at his cellphone with his two thumbs on it.

We all have the right to make mistakes, it must be recognized.

I don't like a lying, arrogant man who can't admit it. I have no confidence in him.

I live in Laval so I can't vote but think Coderre, for all his faults, was way better than Plante. Yes, he was arrogant and spent money like a drunken sailor on stupid things but was way more business friendly than Plante. The current mayor seems to want to punish merchants and drivers while holding cyclists to God-like status.
I work downtown and can see the damage she has caused over the last few years.

Coderre est arrogant, et ne doit pas avoir tort, tandis que Plante d'après moi est plus abordable et a cette capacité d'admettre ces erreurs sans essayer de trouver toutes sortes d'excuses plus ou moins crédibles.
Elle n'est pas sans faire d'erreurs mais je pense qu'elle le fait pour le bien-être de ses concitoyens.

I can’t believe this full of himself leprechaun is back.
For sure there is no pot of gold with voting him back in.
Perhaps he thinks we need more granite tree stumps on Mt Royal or we need to light up another bridge for millions.
Maybe we should close off all kinds of downtown streets this time for a motorcycle race perhaps between rival gang members and he can give away tickets that the public has funded.
The only problem is Plante isn’t any better, she has driven away business and the public from downtown.
Perhaps now she can go bicycling with all the merchants that went belly up and can’t afford cars anymore.
