Today Trudeau and Mendicino have walked back on the two amendments pushed at the last second in Bill C-21.
The first one was an attempt at defining " Assault weapons".
And the second was adding thousands of rifles and shotguns used by First Nations and other Canadians hunters and sport shooters.
Among those firearms are very scarce rifles used for African safaris and old big bore single shot or side by side shotguns.
Those firearms are never used in murders in Canada and USA.
In 2020, they banned .50 BMG caliber firearms that are never used in shootings in USA or elsewhere. Those firearms are vrery cumbersome, heavy, costly as are the ammunitions.
