In the end, the only person that we have to look at in the mirror is ourself and I think that should be our standard. Likewise, we should encourage our family and friends to do what feels right to them, not what feels right to us.

If you really care about someone, you wouldn`t "encourage them to do what`s right for them" if it was SPing. Every single SP I meet, I really hope that they do not stay in this for long, but I know that many get trapped with this lifestyle and do it far longer than they should.

And to be very honest, I care about some ladies more than others. I should be telling them straight in their face that they shouldn`t be doing this. They could easily cut me off for saying this, but it`s the truth. I can`t just lie and say "it`s your life, you know what is best for you"...BULLSHIT!!! What I really want to say is you`re beautiful and smart so why are you wasting your innate talent doing this shit!!!

If you really care about someone, no matter what the consequences, you tell them the truth.

This is a direct contradiction of a statement you made earlier in this thread about not wanting to inform your wife of your hobbying activities. The truth is not okay for her, or do you not care for her?

Read the above statement and your original post. Then go and inform your wife of your hobbying activities, based on your own admonitions. Be truthful, and give her the links to all of your reviews. Observe her reaction. Then report back in this thread on what the reaction was.

If you do not do this, then I am left to conclude that you don't really care about your wife.

Ziggy, I will always question this hobby and I will never accept it as a "natural" thing. I think the minute you stop questioning it, then you implicitly accept the potential devastating effects it could inflict on countless lives. Even if I am not completely out, I am more convinced than ever that this hobby's insidious effects can lead to irreparable damage. I am honest enough to admit this. If this sounds "sanctimonious" to you or your buddy, then so be it.

What's left to be questioned? Haven't you reached your conclusions already? And if you have, can you reconcile the negativity with the jubilant reviews you've been posting at a unrestrained pace?

You got me. But what I meant was when I am with SPs that I think are genuinely nice, I am not going to bullshit them and say "it's your life, I think you're on the right track." I don't believe it, which is why I always tell the nicer ones, "get out as fast as you can." Then there are a few amazing ladies where I am left scratching my head, asking myself, why are they doing this? I tell them that I am disappointed with them even if they do not want to hear it. They tell me the same thing even if I do not really want to hear it.

This statement leaves Anik with no other possibility than being worse off. Once introduced to the General's universe, there are only the possibilities of either state what he wants to hear or bullshiting oneself for stating otherwise.

So if that's the case and if you truly have some of the girls' best interest at heart by suggesting they should leave the business, how do you explain the jubilant reviews you are posting on a regular basis, many of which enticed yours truly and, I'm sure, many other hobbyists to pick up the phone and book the reviewed girls? How do you explain the apparent contradiction? I'm curious to know.

GG... I am not attacking you but above statement sounds somewhat strange.
If anyone then I say you have to get out of this hobby or at least tell your wife and girlfriend. Why? because as long as you hide from her/them, what you say to SP to get out of this business, etc.. just does not sound sincere.

And well said too! I was just thinking the same thing. I get tired of reading threads that contain nothing but moralizing. It's a no win scenario. What I appreciate are threads that give useful advice on how I can take the hobby and my appreciattion of women to a higher level. Roland's "fuzzy" thread is a perfect example of such a thread. Just like a wine connaisseur discusses a single aspect of wine or a martial artist breaks down a movement, Roland selected a single facet of the SC hobby and sought to analyse it. Once it's properly understood, we can all integrate it back into our overall experience. This is the kind of approach we should take more.

As for Karma or any other SP, I don't want to know about her relationship with her father any more than I want to know about my dentist's relationship with his wife. From my dentist, I only what to learn how to floss better and from a SP on Merb I only want pointers on how to treat a lady better.

Not a cheap shot but the reality is that no working SP will publicly admit that she is struggling with this profession. It puts a dent in the clients' fantasies to know her inner struggles.

So let's keep it superficial folks; we don't want to disturb the delusional equilibriums of hyper-sensitive males that prefer sticking to fun and acronyms. It's all benign in Hobbyland and I am the only outlier who sees the pervasive lies we propagate to justify this way of life.

There is really no need for anyone to post in one of Gonad's threads. If he agrees with the poster it is just repetition and if he disagrees he will state quite plainly that he knows the truth and the poster is misinformed or dishonest (maybe both). Why not just let Gonad post all questions and all answers?
