I don't understand this concept of lite beer. I mean, why stop at lite, just go the whole distance and drink pure water ;-)

As a fellow beerophile once said if I'm gonna drink lite beer I can add my own water.

Personally I find myself a lot more interesting when I drink strong beers. So there.

is it me or lots of people here never bough anything outside the maxi or Super C... i can't understand some choices... LOL once you taste the micro brewery... your typical commercial beer will seem so ... casual... If you want to have a taste of good beers, and dont want to rush finding them... try IGA extra... there selection is one of the best i saw for a generic grocery store.

I worked out in western Canada for awhile where the brand Pilsner "Pil" was awfully refreshing and I still see it on a tv show from out west. As I've already mentioned, the clear bottle Miller was delicious. One beer, called Club Ale had a catchy commercial about how it would say it's own name as your poured it "club, club, club" lol. Buckeye, Colt 45, Brador, Molson Light, Molson Dry, Kokanee, Golden, all have been favourites for a while. Although lots of Molson on the list, I basically boycott Molson now...they ripped me off on a contest once which they wouldn't come good for, and sold the Habs so fuck them.

Good all days my friend, but Molson's Brador was actually only 6,2%! Times have changed and now we get 9% and 10% beers made in Québec. If you liked Brador, you should enjoy Boréale Cuivrée, my favorite.

Nowadays my favorite one is a Flanders Red Ale: Duchesse de Bourgogne.

Naturally it is a black beer.

4) For the summer I like this American Pale Ale: a Brazilian beer: Morada Hop Arabica (5%)

I already know these two beers: Dieu du Ciel and Péché Mortel and I like them.

Yes, unfortunately we will be unable to meet. You know, I was in Montreal since November because I had to renovate and sell my house. Winter was very hard : living in my house while the renovation was going on...noise,, dust, moving things, etc. And the winter was so cold. My Brazilian GF - a gaucha from Porto Alegre - came the whole month of February.
Now that my house is sold I just want to move on in my new life and spend several years in Brazil. As they say there: Tenho saudade do Brasil (I miss Brazil)...so I'm going back (probably in two weeks)...I'll come back to Montreal (I have sisters here and my old parents are still alive) I'll probably come back in November (my daugther birthday) and spend Christmas time around here...

Maybe I'll see you in another VIP- GT
