The Man in the High Castle, seasons 1 & 2. Yes...you have to put your ''hun where are they going with this CAP'' a few times, but the production values are stunning. Seasons 3 & 4 are sloppy and predictable in a disjointed way.
Yellowstone just wrapped up its third season. This is one of the shows that fly under the radar because it is not on a major network. If you like the Godfather movies, this is like godfather lite.
There's a patriarchal father (Kevin Costner) who runs the largest ranch in the western U.S. He constantly has to fight off people and groups who want to take his land away from him. His oldest son, and presumed heir, dies early in the series. His next oldest son is a screw-up Fredo like character. His daughter is an alcoholic finance wiz. The youngest son is a war hero who wants nothing to do with the family business. But of course he gets drawn into the family business when his father's life is at stake. There are enough murders, traitors, back stabbers, gun fights, fist fights, explosions, and sizzling sex scenes to keep your interest. I do recommend.
I go long periods of time without watching anything and then will find a series to binge watch.
Wow! You picked alot of good series to binge watch. I have binged watched so many shows that I would not have without the COVID shutdown. The Deuce and the Wire were by the same creative team and may of the characters were based on real people.
The Deuce really captured the way 42nd Street used to be in NYC. I don't know if you saw the little behind the scenes after each of the episodes, but they discussed the real life stories behind the episodes. Oh and I will never look at potato soup the same way ever again. LOL.
The Wire was another classic that I recently rewatched because it is so relevant to what is going on in U.S. cities today. And Omar will always be one of my favorite TV characters.
I don't think too many men will admit to watching "This Is Us" . If they do, they will say "My wife makes me watch it." Lol.Like I said, I relied on a friend's suggestions for most of these (He has no interest in This is us lol).
Robert - Thanks for this notice. I had not heard of the show. The premise sounds interesting. I also like to watch shows filmed in Montreal. We don't get many showing up on U.S. TV. I loved the old Montreal cop drama 19-2. In the U.S. we got the English language version, but the storyline was the same as the French version.Although set in Toronto, the series is actually shot primarily in Montreal, with some location shooting in Toronto for establishing shots and other scenes which require a clear Toronto geographic marker.
***LOVE MEDICAL DRAMAS***

I really got into Better Call Saul and ended up watching Breaking Bad, which I never thought was a show I would like. I was soooo wrong. I was really bummed when I finished it. At least there will be Better Call Saul to look forward to.

Mad Men of course.

Right now I am watching The wire
Probably try Entourage
Most of these were highly recommended by a friend. He has really good suggestions.
love SoAIn terms of recent binges, just went through "Sons of Anarchy" and loved it. It's pretty much like The Sopranos, but with motorcycles. Don't let the whole biker subject turn you off from it (like it did for me initially), because it's much more than that. It's so good, that I actually preferred it over "Boardwalk Empire" in terms of organized crime shows.
First three seasons are more "fun". But with seasons 4-7, that's when the show gets really deep/gritty/intense and really good.
Supposedly there's a spin-off series called "Mayans M.C." Will probably check it out later on.
I'm very tempted to try Mayans M.C. but im a sad stickler for ratings. SoA 8.6/10 vs Mayans 7.6/10 on IMDB, it won't be as good but im sure its still worth it, its the same director. FYI the director (Kurt Sutter) is Otto in SoA, he's the guy whose in been in prison the entire show.
