Westworld on HBO has been really good this season. Very dark and morbid. Loving it!

For me the best season of 'Homeland' was the first season. The others were also fairly good, but the first one remains the best one. Which is normal for most of the better tv series (except Seinfeld) and movies where the first movie is usually better than its sequels (except Godfather II). This upcoming Sunday's episode of 'Homeland' will be the last one of the season...and ever.

As for 'Westworld' i really enjoyed the first season. So far this season has been my least-favorite of the three. If find it difficult to follow & not enough 'Westworld' types of scenarios. It's still called "Westworld", right? So why no more cowboys themes?

What i would have liked the series to be was in its first season have its 'Westworld' theme like it did throughout that season. Then the next season either keep the 'Westworld' theme but with entirely different characters & actors. Or do a different type of theme season after season. This season that Nazi Germany theme may have been an interesting one had then kept the same formula as season one. But now it's basically a futuristic tv series with robots fighting one another & humans. But i suppose this is why some of the die-hard fans like it this way.

These days i'm back to watching favorite tv series from my teenage or earlier years. Every day i watch an episode of "Partridge Familiy" and "Hogan's Heroes". Those two great series really stood the test of time! And boy was Susan Dey ever hot!!

One miniseries i'm anxious to begin watching is "Cardinal". Last night's episode was the third episode of the new season but i've yet to watch an episode yet. I prefer recording the entire season and then binge-watch it. I loved the previous seasons!

The Good Doctor - There has never been a better time for a feel-good drama that celebrates courage, kindness & the resilience of the human spirit. Plus it’s smart & entertaining like the series, House but w/o the crankiness & nihilism.

Homeland was a great series. I disagree with what someone said about it "falling off a cliff" with the 6th season onwards. I think the standard has been maintained pretty well, except for maybe the third season (where they dragged out the Brody storyline). Season one was arguably the best because of Brody. But the show's done well after they moved on from that too. The friendship/bond between Carrie and Saul is such a big part to that show (played wonderfully by both Claire Danes and Mandy Patinkin respectfully).

And that series finale...what a finale! I never would have guessed things were going to go the way they did. It was a pretty good finale, imho and I was satisfied.

There's a new series on Starz called Hightown. Takes place in Provincetown, Mass. Lesbians, strippers, drugs, murders, cops, and more lesbians! I've been enjoying it so far.

Really, in no particular order:

1) Sneaky Pete- Netflix. Unfortunately, cancelled after 3 seasons.

2) The Good Doctor- ABC

3) Altered Carbon- Netflix

4) The Magicians-Netflix

5) Star Trek Discovery-CBS All Access

6) The Mandalorian- Disney+

7) The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel-Amazon

Ozark by far.

Couldn't get past the second episode of season 1. Should i try again and persevere?

I know i've seen absolutely nothing, but i didn't like the main actor play (well, maybe he dies soon in the series, i don't know).

Did you go through the same process? Have you been hooked from the start? Sometimes series are like that, you're unsure in the few first episodes but everything blows out of proportion if you keep watching and you're in for a nice ride.

I think you should keep going, it takes a little bit to pick up, but my friends and I keep describing it as a lighter Breaking Bad, but about money laundering. I liked it a lot.

I need to get started on Money Heist :( all my friends urge me to watch it, even my parents, now that's sad.
