Sad really, Teddy Roosevelt, Lincoln.... The republican party was once the liberal party. But it has lost it's way. I fear it will become only a party of the right wing fringe. We do need a 2 party system, with real choices. So are we to see the birth of a new party? Maybe a moderate party? I hope.
Anyway my choice is for someone brighter and more capable than I to be my leader. Ideology is secondary. Someone with the curiosity to learn about new places, different people and new ideas. Not someone that was born with a silver spoon in their mouth and wasted that advantage as both Bush and McCain did. And certainly not someone that didn't have even the curiosity to look up what the VP did when they were nominated. Think about it. If you were nominated for VP wouldnt the first thing you do is go find out what it entailed if you didnt know beforehand?

If you go here http://www.cnn.com/ to the national map, you can click on the states to get a count. Then a map of the state will come up and you can check county by county. Right now I am projecting a minimum of 324 electors for Obama, and that's without projecting Indiana, North Carolina, Missouri, and Montana all of which are tied at the moment, for either side. I believe Virginia, Florida, California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, and Colorado will go to Obama.
