I have a week off from work in Jan and was planning to return to mtl to see some lovely ladies, like I have done the last couple years. Usually I come for work and see girls at night. This time I would just be coming to have fun.

Now that it's time to book, I feel like it might be silly to come to one of the coldest bigger cities in North America in it's coldest month. I'll have a great time in my sessions, but will I just be folded up in my hotel room all day?

What to people do for fun when it's this cold? I thought about doing a dog sled excursion. Im an outdoor kind of guy, and if it was spring, I would wanna do hiking, biking etc.

Should I wait a couple months?

If the winter is anything like what we had last year... your dog sled adventure might not be as fun. However they are predicting La Nina so it could be colder than usual... so predictions are pretty much a coin flip.
I'd say skip Montreal come back in the summer lol unless of course you plan to stay under the blankets most of the time which is a pretty nice way to spend the week ;)

I always found January and February to be boring and depressing in Montreal. It's brutally cold, the days are short, and there are no statutory holidays. And then go play in traffic during snowstorms where everyone suddenly forgets how to drive.

You could always go skating or watch a Habs game but other than that, unless you got the budget for company throughout the trip, there's not that many things to do, especially if you're by yourself. If you're into weed, you can come try some of the world's most disgusting weed brought to you by SQDC.

spend your days skiing in the laurentians and your nights in montreal going to strip clubs and seeing escorts. its the perfect life.
For 30$, you can have a ski or snowboard initiation at a mountain of your choice. It includes equipment rental and a short lesson.

coming from where? If you have to take a flight then Montreal is not the best option available. If you're just driving over the border then the ladies don't get any warmer in the summertime than they do in winter, sooooo...... Weather is a crap shoot. Plan a variety of activities that could be done in a variety of weather conditions. I think the biggest question is really how many ladies you plan to see in that week. Look at what your expected cash outlay is and then consider what the alternatives might be. A week on the beach could very well be cheaper than a week in Montreal in winter, with more activities available. Again, depends where you're coming from.

I used to travel to Mtl year-round & would always attend.a hockey game or two during my trips. I hate the cold so i’d try booking a hotel with easier or close access to the underground network My favorite hotel during winter time has always been the Doubletree since i didn’t have to go outdoors. If not i’d stay at a hotel a short walk from downtown such as the Omni, the Vogue or the Sheraton.

The best thing however is that the usually high priced hotels in Old Montreal are more affordable during winter time since tourist season in that area is dead. I’ve stayed at the St-Sulpice & Hotel Nelligan in the past during winter time. However on the negative side is that Old Montreal seems totally deserted during winter. I found it kind of depressing & too far from the places i like to hang out at. That’s why i haven’t stayed in Old Mtl during winter in nearly a dozen years.

Thanks for all the responses.

I was planning on having about 6 sessions over 5 days, plus one Montreal FWB, that I'd have a date with.
I was also gonna stay at a hotel a block away from a climbing gym and make liberal use of the hotel's pool, weight room and hot tub.

So I guess im thinking that this is something I should prolly put off for a few months due to weather, it's just that this hole in my schedule would be perfect for a trip.

Do you mean last year it was too warm for dog sledding?

I guess im also worried that the day I would have booked for that might be a blizzard or something.

Yeah some winters can be very mild and you end up with rain or freezing rain, which ruins any chances for outdoor fun.

Climbing gym: Allez up
Hotel : Holiday Inn a bit far than a block away but it has a pool. Otherwise Hotel Alt
Lots of SPs nearby this area (Griffintown). I would tryout Dalila and Judy

I used to climb at Horizon Roc which is located in the east side. Not much hotels close except for the Chablis. No pools but you can rent a suite with mirrors everywhere. Beds are at perfect level to fuck aside or missionary.:p

Blizzards are somewhat very exceptionals. We’re not Antarctica. And with forecast, you know it in advance. Examine forecasts to determinate which activity you will do. Temperature (cold/warm) forecasts are very reliable within 3-4 days in advanced.
In January, weather tend to do less yo-yo temperature than in December so it should be fine with a winter activity.

I was thinking staying at the Doubletree, with Café Bloc being 650m away!

I have seen Dalila, she was fantastic, and Judy is definitely someone I would like to call.
Hotel Alt was a big dissapointment when I stayed there. Maid service only 1 day for the whole week, no closet, no gym, no pool, no restaurant, not even an ice maker on each floor. Stayed at Holiday Inn the next time and it had "proper" ammeneties.

I like Montreal in the winter! Less of us are around so you are able to find more girls that are available to bang, IMHO. Hotels are really cheap as well. But that’s about it, really cold and miserable weather will prevent you from going out and walking around. But there are always plenty of bars and restaurants to go to.
