From LDL to HDH
Some time ago, Maria Divina posted about the best gentlemen following along as regulars when an SP would raise her rates. I jumped all over her for that. Then I decided to look at my ``shopping pattern`` and Maria`s evolution in the business. I have to admit I was wrong and owe Maria an apology.
Shopping pattern
Its true most of my first dates with an escort (or dealing with agencies) are LDL in price range. This is how for example I met Maria Divina, who already had many of the qualities of a superior companion. I can easily see myself ``following`` an agency escort I repeat with to indie status, for ``a little more``. If you click with an indie and you`re comfortable with the price, its a very good thing for all concerned.
2 cases of an Indy raising her rates
I met the first lady @ $400/2 hours twice. I got an email from her (it was a newsletter type thing), and she announced she was going $500/2 except for her ``regulars``, so I was in at the lower rate. The next date had a little something missing. Was it that? I`ll never know.
The other one was charging $380/2. One day out of the blue, I looked at her rates page and it was now $420. She had never told me, and I was still having a wild time with her. The next time, I slipped the extra $40 in the envelope. It was an excellent move .
Maria
Like many of the top companions, Maria started out in an agency. Escorting attracts a lots of different types of people, and mostly only the ones who have a ``disposition`` for the work from the get-go (think of Michelle Luv) will either go independent or move to one of the HDH/touring agencies (and make money at it). And last more than a year.
Conclusion
I can think of one agency girl now whom I would follow as an independent at a slightly higher rate if she made the jump, but its very unlikely she would. So Maria is right: she says that the nicest gentlemen are the ones who follow along with the price increases. My only nuance is that it is the ones who like the particular escort the most. The same, but not quite the same.
