Note: I put this in the Lounge, rather than Health Info, because I don't take it seriously and I'm just curious about people's score if they want to take the test.
Just for fun, I did the Sex Addiction Standard Test (SAST), which is supposed to measure how at risk you are of being a ''sex addict''. I am curious to know how high other merbites would score.

I scored 6, which indicates that I am at risk and am probably very scared about that and should feel relieved that there are therapists willing to help me for a reasonable donation. It's still fairly low, because I do not feel any guilt. (It probably mean that I'm a dangerous psychopath instead)
The test really is a joke. It essentially measures how much you deviate from traditional vanilla sex and how guilty you feel about that. Like sexologist Marty Klein say, ''It's morality dressed up in clinical terms''.
I know that many people here often worry about their use of commercial sex, often with good reasons. But I think calling it sex addiction is just a way to avoid searching for the real source of someone's problem. Often, the compulsive sex part is simply the result rather than the cause, of some personal problem.
The worst part I think: many people who undertake 12-step programs end up being 12-step program addicts for the rest of their lives. I think sex is more fun.
If alcohol destroys your liver, you better stop before you die.
If your sex habits destroy your relationship, maybe you're just not in the right relationship.
