Contrary to Canada, America was founded on christian ideals which may be anachronistic since each generation changes greatly compared to the former. (let's not turn this into a religious debate)
It's most unlikely that such an idiotic exhibition would occur in Canada, but if it were to happen in America, a few of us would be pissed off because the tax money spent on such programs could be used to better human rights, poverty, hunger, etc.
Instead, it's spent making sure a few people don't participate in an activity that yields mutual pleasure for money.
Back onto the subject, it would suck to have your face plastered onto a giant billboard.
Would it deter most people? yes. Would it be likely to happen in the more liberal states? nope.
I wish people would realize that no matter how harsh the punishment would be, people will still do what they feel like.
long story short, i wish use of taxpayer money in america was used more wisely. Rather than allocating money to prevent people from getting their pork sausage marinated, they could be preventing what's really wrong with the whole business, e.g. pimps, drug abuse, etc.
