You completely mischaracterized my post and do not understand how FT and VC are used. That lady asked me to do SA verification which involves turning over personal identifying information, not to her, but to third parties (date of birth, address). The problem is that the girls who need this information the most probably don't have access to it until later. I never realized until I read the first article, how SB/SD sites are set up in such a way that keeps SB's isolated from others. The types of scams and the countless different types of people/situations that anyone entering any sort of Sex Work encounters (even more so if you're new and young, the predators are often the first experiences because, well, she's prey), a lot of these situations are not ones that most girls are prepared for.

You can't approach any sex work with the same kind of trusting attitude that is what they're used to. You don't necessarily even understand all the risks that you should watch out for, you don't know how to set boundaries - you may not have even figured out exactly what those boundaries are yet. Assertiveness is something you learn, it's not automatic for everyone.

It creates a risk of easily ending up in dangerous situations or being taken advantage of. That's the case even if you are a little older. The idea is that if they're isolated and don't have anyone else with experience to avoid these, she has to learn on her own, often by going through these experiences alone.
