Merb Superchat...

We're going to try a little experiment, folks. A few weeks ago, some members expressed an interest in participating in an online chat evening for all merb members to attend.

For those of you unaware, you will notice up on the banner of every page of this site on the horyzontal line that starts with ARCHIVE, the word CHAT. If you click on that, you will open a separate window leading to a multi-board webchat (members of TERB, MERB, and PERB drop in on a regular basis).

The experiment is that while there was an interest, not enough MERB members would attend unless we could get it organized. I decided to take it upon myself to generate some interest and to schedule an introductory evening that's open to all and that could be fun enough to repeat on an irregular basis.

Here's how we're going to try this: Next monday the 24th starting at 7pm, all members of MERB are invited to attend (that's LADIES as well as the men). I will be there a few minutes prior to create a separate "room" I'll entitle "MERB SUPERCHAT" that you all can enter, and discuss whatever comes to mind (movies, SEX, sports, SEX, dating, SEX, grocery shopping, and , oh yes, SEX!)

One of the montreal MODS will most likely be present, as they are also overseeing the regular chat.

We welcome and encourage any of the female members to attend, but we must enforce a rule that there cannot be bookings or exchanging of emails thruout the discussion. There is nothing that prevents the guys from contacting an attending sp afterwards thru their normal channels. Think of it as an introductory speed dating evening.

We're hoping a good amount of lively and interesting people (chatterboxes welcomed!) will attend and make this fun for all. English and French-speaking members are completely welcomed as we have many members that speak both and can easily help out with translating if necessary...

Self-involved hijackers stay at home please, this is supposed to be a group discussion, not a forum for how great you are...Flame warriors will most likely be ejected!

Feel free to stop by for a few minutes as well as for the whole evening if one so wishes...

I chose 7pm, because i remember on xxxtase's webchat evenings a few months ago, there wasn't much of a problem gathering some people at that hour. I agree it could start out slow, but people are welcome to log in at their convenience (I can't guarantee it'll still keep going at 11pm, though)

I don't see a problem with the terbies, as long as they don't prevent merbites from accessing the room...I'll think about what to do...

That's okay, you guys can chat about it, we can put a sex slant to the discussion to spice it up (does Cristobal Huet get more sex than Jose Theodore or Patrick Roy ever did? ) In fact, I'd chuckle if in the middle of that conversation, an sp brings up that she's serviced them before...!

There are a few people there right now on the chat, and I'll try to indicate how to enter the private room we have set up...

When entering the communal room (where TERB, MERB and PERB members are), go to the line underneath where it says Welcome, (your member handle)
It says ROOM, then look to some vertical arrows, click on those to select the room you can enter. Click on MERB SUPERCHAT, and you should be able to join us...There's a few of us right now (7:45pm, feel free to join up...

I am trying to but it keeps telling me "Login failed - you must log in from the review board message board."

I'm not sure what the problem is...it could be your computer is missing a specific program? I get in no problem, but Oral it's strange because you seemed to have no difficulty when you logged on to xxxtase's chat months ago, and I think Merb uses the same programs. Maybe a mod, or a more computer-savvy member can help?

Well, It's over for now, and quite a lot of fun it was too. Thanks to everyone who showed up (CockAsian, Mod 5, CK_NJ, Wizard of Oz, Techman, Kaempferrand, Godddess Harmonia, Candy from Candy's Delights, Oliver K., and others I'm too tired to remember right now...). seems like we were usually about a dozen people at any given time...

It was pretty funny and pleasant, and i hope we can do it again sometime soon (sound off if you want to, folks)

It was very interesting and fun also. Talking about all kinds of littles things and it was kind of special to have hockey game going on at the same time while some where chating with one eye and watching the game with the other.

"Overall" ! I like that one!... Okay, we tried it on a monday for no particular reason (well, two people requested that evening more than another), but what do the rest of you think? Would a friday evening be more suitable for everyone's needs (doubtful, since people like to go out on friday), or any other evening?

I guess I'm asking more the ladies what evening would suit them better, because let's face it, we're just like little puppies and if we know a few pretty ladies will congregate somewhere, damn any plans we made and we'll show up... ...

We've had Wizard and Candy around last time to everyone's delight (and Harmonia for a shorter time), would any other ladies take the plunge with us?
