I know this will not be the most popular thread here on MERB. But I want to reach the few soccer fan like me out here.
Soccer is growing a lot in america and that is good. Soccer is the ONLY true worldwide team sport played in every country, and most important, accessible to all (poor, rich, black, yellow, whatever...).
Of course I am a Montreal Impact fan (holding season ticket since their entry in the MLS). In a few days they will play in semi-final against Toronto. I am a bit torn because myself and my youngest son (who is an 8 years old 2-3 goals a game soccer player
) are both big fan of Toronto's Sebastian Giovinco as he is just stellar. This short player at 5' 4'', along with Messi wich is 5' 6'', my height, are proof that soccer can be played at the highest level even for short people. I love that!
So let's exchange here if there is any soccer fan like me. And let's root that Impact win the first Canadian MLS cup
