Montreal still off limits to Americans -- any sense how the absence is affecting the market?

Both. Montreal sucks for Escorts, i guess it depends on your taste. Look at the "top" women at Euphoria, vog and XO and compare it to what you find in Toronto or most US cities.... Again, depends on what you're attracted to. I live in Montreal and only see 1/month and in San Francisco or other HOT cities, I could easily see 5x a week if I had the money
LOL Over the last couple years, I found Montreal to sometimes take a back seat to North Jersey, but it’s all cyclical. Too many Montreal irls these days are tatted up and a bit overweight. At the same time, nobody compares to James for customer service. Top notch.
I listed a few of the standard agencies. There are a couple more underground, low profile (no reviews) GFE/PSE agencies in $320-350 range that really sizzle. And while most talent is $300-$350 US, many agencies offer specials (weekends) to members and regulars. And factor in that 1 hour = a true 60 minutes in the US, while in Montreal I often book 90 minutes outcall to get warmed up. I feel weird with a 60 min outcall.
Regardless, I’m delighted the Montreal agency rosters are as robust as they are and everyone seems to be staying safe and enjoying themselves.

Back in 2013, when I started visiting, I saw so many amazing girls up there. Alexis at Good Girls still brings a smile to my face, as does Amber at same agency (She was there briefly). Jamie in 2016 or 2017 was a doll. I didn’t visit during the Eleganza years sadly.
Recently I think Montreal has lost a lot off its fastball, but I still love the city. I’ve had too many plain vanilla appointments at some top agencies, and far too many cancellations, to rank Montreal above NNJ. I’d like to think it’s cyclical - that’s true anywhere - and many great days are still ahead.
Patron once gave a great thesis on why talent in Montreal has downtrended over the last couple years, and he explained the cultural and economic reasons (Pervasive fast food restaurants, more opportunities for young women, etc). That thread is worth a read. I’ll try to find it.
I really like the choices in Montreal. I can imagine being dissatisfied if you like them big, buxom and blonde. (Bentley and Serena, you really like them pasty!)
But San Francisco as a hot city? I go there regularly (not for p4p though) and I find that city seriously lacking.
They call it Man Francisco (because of the gender ratios), home of the 4-to-9-ers (because a 4 thinks she's a 9).
I always ignored the p4p scene because I thought it was for tech moguls and lonely but wealthy coders ... that's not the case? The money's there, so I can believe the talent shows up. Where's a hot spot to find p4p in the city? The Mark Hopkins? Or is it more in the valley like the Rosewood Hotel?
SF omg so many cute young college types. Most major US cities have them and even more so in the boonies. I don't know much about North East US as I have never been to NY or Boston area but F.... West coast, texas, even most of south, so delicious. Give me that any day over Montreal, a city of 3.5million people with legal Escorts, yet only Serena/Bentley make my cut off in such a large pool. Montreal sucks for sure. At least Toronto is decent. I like mirage and select company. Toronto girls are cute but higher rates.
If the border were open, I would come up 2 or 3 times per year for 4 or 5 days each time. The total amount i spent in those trips would make up 2/3 or 3/4 of my SP budget for the year.
This thread started with a question as to whether it is currently easier to book with the Montreal agencies since American tourists are MIA due to the border closure. The discussion has meandered enough. Time to return to the original question.

the market in general took a hit but the lack of tourists, has not really affected agencies... at least not the top 3.
It seems to me that the line ups are lighter without the Americans. NNJ is double the price and still a hit or miss. San Diego is cheaper but so is the quality.
The question was how the absence of Americans affect the market. Not just ease of booking. The lighter line up can be due to fear by some or the steady decline of the industry due to social media and sugaring. I know one provider in NYC that would prefer to sugar or higher rates like over $200 than below due to high volume hurts.
Booking feels a little bit easier, but not radically different with the top places.
Although I don’t think it’s only about Americans or tourists in general, local demand seems to be also somewhat lower than it used to be. I suppose it can be more difficult to sneak in an SP visit between leaving the office and going home when you’re working from home.
Also, there are a ton of Americans still here because they work and live in the city, a lot of them away from their families. Or dual citizens and permanent residents who can cross the border freely, albeit with a 2 week quarantine required.

The overall market has certainly shrunk, but whether the Americans are the cause. I would say yes to the independents who offer their services higher than average rates.

I'm from the US as well and it looks to me like there are a lot less agency SPs on the schedule. Even though there are less Americans, there are also less SPs - with many well reviewed ladies having not returned.

It seems as if the Big 3 agencies have size-able rosters of girls, and those agencies will not only weather the storm but do quite well. Biz might be down a bit.
I think the business risk is to the smaller, or peripheral agencies, not VOG, Euphoria or XO Montreal. I’m betting a few of those have days that are numbered.
Consider the Big 3 frequently sold out, which forced guys to pursue scraps at some of the smaller agencies (and I recognize some of those smaller agencies had some diamonds in rough). Those smaller agencies might be taking the biggest hit.

Big time. I normally have minimum budget limits when I visit Mtl. But next time with the sizeable amount I have saved in my hobby & travel budget since March, there won't be any limits. I expect to be including more threesomes.
