There are no shortage of Asian sex workers wanting to come to the United States.

True, and Canada too (Toronto and Vancouver have large numbers of ladies from China, ,Korea and Southeast Asia who end up working as sex worker). The unfortunate reality is that these ladies often are forced to hand over large sums of monies to the brokers who sneak them (frequently under extreme and dangerous conditions) into North America and the people that pimp them out, leaving the ladies with less than 20% of what the Johns paid, and the ladies are forced to live in squalid conditions.

One only has to travel to Bangkok and certain districts in Singapore to find ladies from poorer countries turning tricks, even in MP's.

In wealthier places like Hong Kong, Macau and Singapore, there are large numbers of ladies from Eastern Europe and Russia working as sex workers servicing largely wealthy Asian men.

The sale of sex will continue until the human race becomes extinct.

States in America are given police power by the US Constitution and in theory, states can decriminalize or legalize the sex trade among consenting adults, but there is no sufficient political will to do so. NOT IN MY BACKYARD sentiments should never be underestimated, particularly in the United States of America.

I suppose Kraft can argue that the "masseuse" incidentally aroused him by stroking his Junk.

ShyMan, while I appreciate good grooming, I'm trying to block the thought out of you reaching for those hard to reach spots with your Harrys shaver.

I like your humor. But I use an electric personal groomer for the areas you insinuated -- I always groom myself even when I see an escort -- I treat it as a date.

Commerce has a way of rearing its ugly head.

A number of US Supreme Court cases have given the Commerce Clause tortured construction to extend the reach of the Commerce Clause to "conform" to bad facts. For example, while many states have legalized the sale and use of cannabis in varying amounts, the US Government has stymied the legitimate exercise of the state's police power (the power to regulate and protect the welfare of its residents) in that regard by preventing federally chartered banks from being used by cannabis growers and retailers by relying upon the Commerce Clause and other provisions of the US Constitution and the Amendments thereto. Meanwhile and time and again, a number of Members of US Congress, who often tend to the staunchest opponents of the sale of sex, have been exposed as sex customers.

We are preaching to the choir on this social media platform: Merb.

The Kraft case demonstrates that men in all strata of American society pay for sex. And why shouldn't sex workers get paid for the work they do, especially since sex work is very hard work, physically and mentally, for the providers.

Perhaps Kraft can regain some of his reputation or the sheen on his reputation by donating a substantial amounts of his wealth to helping sex workers in America, regardless of their immigration status, gain safer workplaces and conditions, to help protect the personal safety of the workers and the Johns (and Janes), and to provide training for new jobs (when they decide to retire). Kraft could be "born again as a humanitarian.

Let's hope the masseuses are treated humanely by the US Justice System and are offered the opportunity to become permanent residents of America (for those ladies who do not now have any status).

Hey, EagerLawyer is based out of New England. Perhaps he could represent Robert Kraft.
. Ha Ha...every new client he ever had most probably started with the cry of an ambulance siren within his earshot.

it is the money that trumps any such Constitutional rights.

It's almost always the use of the US$ and processing of payment through the US banking system that allow the US federal government (through the Treasury Department) that extend its arms and long-arms to ensnare activities that are deem unlawful by US federal laws.

As for sex work, the John (or Jane) providing the provider anything in value (bartering or exchanging services -- a mechanic fixing a prostitute's car in exchange for sex) would violate most, if not all, prostitution laws in the US, the same law intended to "protect" the consenting, adult SP (because she cannot protect herself from the boggie man).

States within the USA are allowed, by way of their police powers (protect the health and safety of their residents) to control businesses and professions (medical surgeons, commercial truck drivers and airplane pilots) through requirements for licenses.

Wealthy people are often wired to be cheap with their own monies. Perhaps Kraft was too lazy or could not claim seeing a sex worker as a business expense or tax deduction. It could be Hubris on the part of Kraft, thinking that since he's the owner of the world famous and highly successful Patriots and that he's donated $$$ to the campaigns of local politicians, he's immune from the reach of the law. (What's not discussed often in the media is that wealthy people who make huge political contributions often find ways to recuperate those donations through a combinations of tax deductions and business favoritism from the elected officials, including elected sheriffs and district attorneys.)

At the end of the day, Kraft likely is a cheapskate and/or he loved the services he received at the MP's.

There is another possibility. He may have been a novice at the sex game.
The guy was a recent widower who may possibly had not seen escorts before and had only recently started paying for sex.
Guys starting out in the hobby will usually start with a rub & tug service before making the leap to actual escorts.

Good point. And most news reports I've read don't note that fact -- being a recent widow is an extremely trying condition for most. I suppose most news outlet don't focus on the Johns for fear that they would be accused of adding more fuel to the fire -- objectification and enslavement of consenting adult ladies, especially in today's USA "Me-Too" outrage movement.

Still, you think some of Kraft's trusted friends and family members would help him navigate through the money-for-sex world. Doesn't Kraft own a personal jet? If so, he could fly to a number of countries (like Germany) were prostitution is completely legal.

In any event, I would be a hypocrite if I didn't feel bad for Kraft and other Johns, who in fact were providing the ladies a better livelihood, albeit a marginal betterment as measured by the USA poverty standards.

I'm surprised everyone here is concentrating on Kraft where the real issue is that there were camera's in the massage joint, that really scares me.

You should always assume you're being recorded. In fact, you most certainly are pretty much anywhere, at least in entrance areas and such. The only way to avoid this is to exclusively do outcalls to a hotel or private residence.

However, if you go to a reputable place, you can be almost certain you are NOT being recorded during private time with ladies.

This was a strip mall type rub & tug Asian spa though, which are always a high risk to go to, for various reasons.

Honestly I don't go these types of run down places .. I also don't go to full services places.
But this could happen at reputed massages places too (absolut, secret, extreme, fantaisie, etc.)

It's incredible, but based on additional information coming in, not sure what Kraft and many other big name celebrities/business people where thinking!
On the flip side, did Florida law enforcement abide by all procedural investigations laws in this sting?

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...al-sordid-world-thriving-amid-florida-royalty

This is going to be an interesting case to follow going forward to gauge what the impact will be on solicitation or prostitution (if indeed it may even apply in this case when all is said and done) laws in Florida and the U.S.!

...as a side-note...I wonder if Trump ever went to the "Orchids of Asia Day Spa"...lol!

...one has to wonder as well if any of this "human trafficking trade ring spanning from China to the U.S." may impact "fair trade" talks between the U.S. and China.
I am sure Trump will keep sticking it to China!...and maybe build another wall as well!...a "Chinese Wall"...lol!

it's about time that all this China export crap - from all angles - gets addressed by someone whose balls are not deflated!!!

...and by-the-way 5G in North America is going to be dictated by the U.S....and not by Huawei!!!...you can take that to the bank!

. . . hidden cameras were placed in the rooms pursuant to a judicial warrant, presumably placed there by women given immunity from prosecution as victims (even though they were committing a crime, also).

Police using cameras in the rooms, presumably with properly obtained judicial warrants, is a huge game changer.

https://www.bloomberg.com/news/arti...al-sordid-world-thriving-amid-florida-royalty

This is going to be an interesting case to follow going forward . . . .

Thanks for the very enlightening article, sharkman.

Robert Kraft (widowed since 2011), purportedly worth US$4.4 billions, visited The Orchids of Asia Day Spa, which has even been reviewed on Yelp, twice after being dropped off by a chauffeured vehicle, paid less than US$100 each visit. (The service must have been fantastic for him to have repeated.)

This huge sting operation is dripping with ironies. Busting the Johns seem to be the overriding motivation, not saving the purportedly enslaved sex workers from China or arresting the masterminds behind the sex trafficking ring(s) and the scumbags who are profiting from the miseries of the forced sex workers. American laws are certainly twisted; American justice system is still mired in selective enforcement.

"The case has peeled back one of the most unsavory aspects of this stretch of Florida -- where a playground of the wealthy filled with golf courses and beaches meets with what authorities say may be a human trafficking ring spanning from China to the U.S. There are multi-million dollar mansions as well as the massage tables that police say women slept on when not engaged by customers."

The police said "
in many cases it involved coerced women without access to their own transportation, who would be moved from location to location, living where they were taken and sometimes working late into the night." "None of the women ever left until they were moved -- and many, he said, had been carried out of their jurisdiction in expensive cars. They had no days off, he said, and cooked rice on hot plates."

I think we would all agree that treating the ladies like this is abhorrent and should subject the ring masters and all culprits to the greatest possible punishment under the law. If the LE's were able to obtain warrants to place cameras in the rooms, why couldn't they have busted up the human trafficking ring(s) and arrested the bad guys without the need to have Johns ensnared and parade them through the media for publicity -- ah, more headlines for the politicians.

Exactly ShyMan, "more headlines for the politicians"!...this whole thing can be flipped around and be perceived as politically motivated!

In fact in time, Kraft may very well be perceived as a victim in all this story!!!...and I am convinced Kraft has competent lawyers...lol!

But I agree, the way to control the problem is to "cut the head off of the snake" - i.e., the scumbags in China profiting from the miseries of the forced sex workers"!

Plus, their accomplices in the United States and every other countries that are used to transport the ladies to these places of horror (for the ladies).

Kraft can't be that Internet illiterate -- Google "legal prostitution". Yeah, Kraft should fire some of his personal lawyers and ask for a refund!;)

Every place should have a local Merb and reputable agencies, Indies and consenting, adult SP's found in beautiful Montreal.

When the widower thing started here, I bought in. However, Kraft has had a young, beautiful girlfriend for several years and she was with him at the Super Bowl.

Apparently, Patriot fans are directing attacks at her. I don't get that. If you blame her, are you making a leap thinking she's not taking care of Kraft sexually? How do any of us know what's going on in their lives.

It’s baffeling how a multi millionaire with enough money to hire A-list actress to slopp his willlie all night,
uses a cheap and stigmatic service like Chinese massage spas.

I also recognize that it is largely the Asian ladies that are serving our oldest senior citizens, and there would be a lack of caucasians, blacks and Hispanics interested in that segment of sex work.

I concur. Your naked truth is refreshing and your diligence in curating information from the vast Web to share with this community is commendable and much appreciated. If we are all lucky enough to live into our 80's and 90's, it would be a God sent to have these SP's available near where we live.

Indeed, the ladies need to repay the monies the 'brokers" fronted but they should also be compensated fairly and treated well -- a well maintained SP yields greater returns on investments.

Robert Kraft has four (4) adult sons, and they could have driven him to engage in these two inexplicable acts. Or his brain could be failing him. Regardless of one's opinion or feelings about the Patriot and Robert Kraft's other business ventures, he deserves to be remembered for huge successes with making the Patriots such a dominance in the NFL.

The biggest takeaway is that judges in the US (for certain in Florida) are allowing cameras inside spa rooms where prostitution is suspected. Would that trend extend to hotel and motel rooms.

I'm just praying there are no cameras videoing the encounters.

How would you feel if you knew that the in call that you went to has a hidden camera posing as a clock radio on the side of your bed ?

Best Regards
