can you name which hotel it was?

I thought about it, but I think it's best left up to PM communication.

I stayed at that hotel before -- way overrated, tiny room and too expensive (part of a very famous hotel chain in France; I stayed at one of its hotel in Nice), yet they purportedly entered his guest room--I would have been so angry. But I suspect the Hobbyist is a Merb member and if he's willing to identify the hotel, I don't think the Mods would have a problem. Mind you, what I said here is second-hand information but I believe the SP; she's a tough lady.

One SP recently told me about what she considered was an embarrassing experience she had several weeks ago at a 4-star hotel downtown. She went there for an outcall. The hotel staff said she looked very young so they went with her to the client's room, and entered his guest room! The hotel staff demanded to see her identification. She smartly and rightly refused to show her identification. She and the client smartly canceled the rendezvous at the hotel. (Happily, she and the client rescheduled for an incall and they had a nice time watching TV together, nothing more.)

Think the 4-star hotel was worried about underaged sex hence the need for ID. If the hotel was really against prostitution on its premises, the escort wouldn’t even have been allowed up to the room. IMHO the hotel did the right thing in protecting itself and its hotel guest by asking for ID.

While I like young escorts, I do get worried when the escort looks too young. In such cases, you really have to hope that the agency did its due diligence in checking the escort’s age. Once I even asked to see the escort’s ID. LE might not care about outcalls but underaged sex is a whole different can of worms.

I don't disagree with you about what the hotel staff should do. (IMHO, this SP does not look like a minor, even though she looks young.)

I certainly hope the LE's enforcement efforts are directed at protecting minors. The law must protect minors from sex work.
