I'm wondering how many of us are sitting around with the Significant Other and shaking our heads ruefully watching the story but thinking what we'd do if we had that kind of money.

Hey, if that really is her myspace page, check out this part:

"...What we Want is my latest track. It’s really about trust, something my past has made very difficult for me to feel. This one was inspired by a guy, who taught me not to confuse my dreams with the sounds of the city…I hope you like it...."

How ironic.

Oh yeah - funny what also came out in the NYT today:
http://www.nytimes.com/2008/03/12/science/12std.html?_r=1&ref=research&oref=slogin

Talk about bad timing from the CDC and FDA. Everybody's gonna be pretty paranoid after this week!

Spitzer, look at the pic on the bottom row, she is smoking fucking hot. Eliot is a true horndog!

Yep, those are indeed nice boobies. They just got a whole lot more expensive too. Funny, the NYT said she spent the last few days in an upscale apartment in the Flatirons district. She's obviously not waiting tables to live like that in the city, which means since she's only 22, she probably has five or six heavy hitting clients like number 9 who've been bankrolling her lifestyle.

How much you want to bet in addition to a playboy shoot and maybe a book deal she gets a recording contract too? She's a singer after all. She might be embarrassed right now, but soon she'll be thinking !!*jackpot*!!

And soon she'll go the way of Donna Rice, Monica Lewinsky, Jessica Hahn and all the others whose names are relegated to trivia questions

Very true. Reminds me of some people who post on escort boards not realizing that their posting history (via i.p address, etc) might be traced back to them one of these days & bite them in the ass. Some people simply get careless.

So what do you do to stop this, Doc?

Her embarrassment will end quickly when the big offers start coming in. She will get offered more than what Hahn got from Playboy, as she is younger and much better looking than Hahn was when she posed.

Maybe she'll go the Vanessa Williams route and establish a successful career separate from this "incident".

You don't need to. Because on adult internet forums LE has zero interest. They also don't want to face an invasion of privacy or civil rights lawsuit, and they don't want to be forced to justify any expense that amounts to wasted time, because that's how you get fucked in the LE business - wasting time on the taxpayer's dollar. The only traces they ever do is when kiddie porn is involved. Those get authorized. Nothing else would.

I interned for Spitzer almost 5 years ago at the AG's office, and he was as straight laced as you could possibly get. He overheard me talking about a strip club once at an office party and took me aside and had a discussion about discretion with me. I wasn't hired the following summer.

Here's why I voted no ...

... there's no real point in prosecuting the man except to turn the whole thing onto a media spectacle for the benefit of the press and / or the prosecutors in the case.

Which, when you stop to think about it, is a pointless waste of my tax dollars, and your tax dollars if you live in NY State. And every US citizens tax dollars if it's pursued as a federal crime though the investigations being done via the FBI.

Sure, the guy's managed to piss off enough people by way of his vigilant prosecution of others to give them lots of reasons to want to burn him at the stake.

But that just wastes lots of time & money that could be better spent on chasing REAL criminals ... I know, very cliche.

Would I sound too "Rudy" if I mentioned the "terrorists", too. - LOL :D

When it comes down to it, his biggest crime of all is that of being a hypocrite.

Unfortunately that, ladies & gentlemen, is not against the law.

I agree. I don't think that Spitzer will be prosecuted for anything, although I think the IRS may be concerned about all the publicity being given to the "structuring" that he did with his transfers, which is potentially prosecutable. Obviously the IRS does not want to be beaten out of reportable income by people doing what Spitzer did; the problem though is that Spitzer used his own money and was not beating the IRS out of anything.

The TBD prosecution was LAUGHED OUT OF COURT!!!!!!!!! TBD was represented by a very low radar attorney and he got that case tossed so badly prosecutors have been scared to try a case ever since.

Also the prosecution was vs. the Board's owners, not anonymous posters.

Infanticide,

Other than that, how was he to work for? I don't know if you recall the tax case involving Connecticut.........he got the better of Blumenthal who is a damn good AG.
