I can't wait for Saturday to come by & watch the Leafs once again dominate the Habs & leave town with 2 pts. :D

Doc with predictions like this you might end up becoming to hockey what the great Joe T. is to baseball!

Actually though I can't really blame you. Throw two random, hopeless teams on the ice and anything's possible. And at least you must be happy for Little Saku.

Yeah, i have him in my hockey pool, so at least he gave me a couple of points tonight. Anyways, tough game for the Leafs. They were tired. They played in Atlanta last night & probably didn't get much sleep. Back-to-back games & scheduling are hard on all athletes (which is why so many pro athletes use steroids & HGH)...so i wasn't THAT surprised that Mtl won tonight. Only positive note is the fact the Leafs outshot the Habs again, but i guess it's the final score that counts. They'll bounce back, it's not the end of the world.

When they've been leading for the whole game & then let the opposing team score two goals with less than 5 minutes left in the game, that's choking, even if they would have played against the former Soviet Union's Red Army hockey team.

Hey Doc I just found an old quote from a highly respected Leafs fan. Do you think it might apply to their 3-2 loss Tuesday night? Seems quite accurate to me...except that they were leading 2-0 with 85 seconds (!!!!!!!!!!) left in the game and STILL managed to lose! Now THAT is world-class choking!

Meanwhile, the other inept Canadian team from the (shudder!) Original Six days gave a typical effort by showing up for approximately 2 minutes out of 60. Surprise, surprise (not!) : they also ended up losers (coincidentally also 3-2).

Yet the brainwashed fans of both inept franchises will go to their graves saying their heroes were unlucky and a Stanley Cup is right around the corner.

A tough loss last night as the Habs fall just short of coming back and winning. Vokoun must have a lucky horseshoe up his butt as Florida steals two points. :(

I guess we must have been watching a different game. Even the Habs players who got interviewed after the game admitted they stunk the joint. The panel on 110% gave their effort 2's & 3's out of 10. Earth to GHG! Earth to GHG! Houston, we have a problem......

Joelcairo...it is right around the corner. It's just that it happens to be a verrrry long street!

GHG, if the Habs had managed to get even one point last then that would have qualified as grand theft! And Price has to stop listening to the media about how good a puck handler and how cool tempered he is. A bit of emotional regret might be a good thing when your sloppy puck clearing ends up costing your team a point and maybe two.

1st Fight For Crosby

Tonight in Boston, Sidney Crosby had his 1st NHL fight, with Andrew Ference of the Bruins. The frustrated Ference started the fight, and initially landed a few good blows, but Crosby responded with a few good blows and bloodied Ference. I thought the fight was basically a draw - Crosby took a few more shots than he should have and looked to me, for a guy who has such good hands, to be inexperienced at defending himself in fights. However he did not back down, landed a few good shots and bloodied Ference. In the penalty box after the fight, Crosby looked fired up.

The Bruins immediately sent Chara out on the ice, which was somewhat ironic as Chara had been beaten by Crosby on an earlier goal.

At the time of the fight Crosby had a goal and assisted on two Malkin goals, although it is now 4-2 Penguins after 2 periods.

If he turns into Sid the Kid Gavilan he should use the famous bolo punch.

Meanwhile let's hope he never fights Chris Simon. Let's hope no one ever fights Chris Simon. 30 games but it should have been a lifetime...and it might still be (a la McSorley). This clown doesn't deserve to be in the NHL. In fact he should be in prison.

A well deserved win tonight for the Red, White & Blue over a good Caps team - props to Sergei Kostitsyn for his first NHL goal! :D

Meanwhile, the Toronto Maple Losers continue their losing ways: first playing Santa and giving two points away to the Canes on Tuesday and tonight blowing it with 48 seconds to go! :D And what do the Maple Laffs get for their efforts? ... last in the NE division and 11th place in the conference! :D Looks good on the Make Beliefs as that's where they'll finish at the end of the regular season on their way to the front 9!

You should stop taking those hallucinogens! The Habs stole a win from the Caps tonight & they better get their butts out of DC or else the FBI will be all over them! Once again grossly outshot by a total of 37-21 & two of their goals were scored (again!!) on the powerplay. Crystobal Huet won the game for them & with tonight's gigantic effort, he's confirmed once & for all that he's the Habs' number one goaltender.

Just finished watching 110% & the panel all agree that the Habs had no business winning this game & should thank both Huet & Latendresse for saving them.

As for the Leafs, a tough loss once again. They outshot the opposition 32-21, but unfortunately lost the game with just under a minute left & Tampa was saved once again by the NHL's best player, none other than the GREAT Vincent Lecavalier! What a great player!!!

Gohabsgo, you should stop talking your usual nonsense, or else your name might soon wind up on the Mitchell Report. Be honest, did you actually watch the game or are you just blowing smoke from your ass?

You forgot to add that they also lost to Tampa's 4th stringer!

I saw the whole game on RDS, in fact I just watched the game again on "Canadiens Express" :D I see Latendresse emerging as one of the premier power forwards in the league, on his way to lighting it up 30 to 40 times a season. And that goes without saying the Habs boast the best tandem in the league with Huet and Price. Unfortunately the Maple Laffs cannot make the same claim as that organization heads towards another season of futility! However the teachers fund doesn't care - as long as gullible Toronto fans keep the cash registers ringing! :D

Yes, Lecavalier is a great player. Is he the best? Possibly, but it's hard to say since the NHL has several other great players. To name some: Alfredsson, Iginla, St. Louis, Datsyuk, Luongo, Lidstrom, Crosby, Ovechkin,...

What do the great players have in common? Oh yeah, NONE of them play for the Laughs or the Hab-Nots!

I consider Sundin to be a great player & i'm not saying this because he plays for the Laffs. I still believe that presently, Vinnie the Great is the best player. Yes, even better than that fuckin' whiner in Pittsburgh!

What do great players have in common? Lots of money $$. :D

I have a lot of respect for Sundin and I think he's a very, very good player who falls just short of greatness. Perhaps I'm being unfair however considering that he's been surrounded by shit and incompetence for almost all his career and he's still consistently good. I've always said that he deserves better than the Maple Leafs.

Sundin would rather not stretch his post-season stay in Canada because he doesn't want to miss the celebrations for the National Day of Sweden.

Therefore, that's why he chooses to play for the Laffs. :D

A well deserved road win for the Habs tonight against a good Tampa team. Meanwhile, the Toronto Maple Losers continue their losing ways, posting a big loss to a struggling Flyers team. :D Philly had lost six straight going into tonight – nothing like playing the Make Beliefs to get out of a losing streak! :)

Impressive back-to-back road wins on consecutive nights for the Red, White&Blue; this time against a surging Florida team – Carbo has nos glorieux playing some inspired hockey of late! Meanwhile, the Toronto Maple Losers find themselves languishing in 12th spot – a mere 5 points out of last place! :D

Correction! The Make-Me-Laffs drop to 13th place after last night's 6-1 ass kicking :D At this rate the Maple Losers might end up with a top 5 draft pick, but they'll probably end up trading the pick away for Boston's third string goalie! :D
