LOS ANGELES, California (AP) -- Paris Hilton filed a federal lawsuit Monday, seeking to shut down a Web site that displays personal photos, videos, diaries, and other belongings once kept at a storage facility.
The Web site was launched last week claiming the items were auctioned off after Hilton neglected to pay the Los Angeles-area storage facility. It also promises visitors who pay a fee of $39.97 access to Hilton's passport, medical records and other legal documents.
In her lawsuit, Hilton said she put her possessions in storage two years ago when she and her sister, Nicky, moved out of a house that had been burglarized.
The 25-year-old heiress said a moving company was supposed to pay the storage fees and was "shocked and surprised" to learn her belongings were sold at a public auction.
"I was appalled to learn that people are exploiting my and my sisters' private personal belongings for commercial gain," Hilton said in a declaration supporting the lawsuit, adding she was concerned the information could be used for identity theft or harassment.
The lawsuit alleges defendants Nabil and Nabila Haniss paid $2,775 for the contents of the storage unit and later sold the items for $10 million to entrepreneur Bardia Persa, who created the site ParisExposed.com.
Phone numbers for Nabil and Nabila Haniss of Culver City could not be located. Persa did not immediately respond to an e-mail Monday seeking comment.
Hilton's publicist Elliot Mintz said that she would like the site shut down and "would like all of these items returned to her

How stupid can somebody be? She was filmed driving the day before she was due to appear in court, while still under a suspension.
in court Her lawyer said that it wasn't fair.. Her mother cuckled when the DA suggested a jail sentence....
if job blow was to have been caught drinking ad driving and then stopped not once but twice driving on the suspended license do you think that 45 days would be all he would get... For a 26-year-old woman, she has been living really carelessly. Her parents haven't helped her and have babied her to put her where she is. The best advice they could have given her was hire a driver, after she was given probation for drunk driving.
I can't believe her lawyer would have not told her that her license was suspended. If he didn't, he is rather incompetent.
Jail may be good for her. She can grow up and reflect how she can really be more careful and thankful for what she does have. I just hope that they don't expose her to the general prison population. She would not have a chance against any of the tough broads locked up in LA's detention center.

My point was if her parents gave her the right advice to be responsible and NOT DRIVE with a suspended license after receiving probation from a DUI conviction, Ms. Paris Hilton would not be in this predictament. This girl takes no responsibility. Her parents attending a probation violation was too little too late. With a DUI, she could not get into Canada. It's not a petty offense. And she was speeding the last time she was stopped with a suspended license.
Her parents probably babied her from the time she was a baby until that hearing. Her father is probably on the phone trying to reach a State Senator or Representative that could talk to the next judge.
A 26 year old woman should be woman enough to read her own mail and understand the consequences and responsibilities of her actions. But this adult has hired people to take care of her. Guess what? Police investigators also found a substance that they believe to be cocaine at the scene.

i agree it seems like a terrible waste, all this needless self-destruction she is going through...she has/had a bright future since back a few years ago when she starred in her early Disney films (the Parent trap and Freaky Friday), while not movies that are ever going to change the course of history, still packed a lot of entertainment value...
i often hear about how even the most self-indulgent spoiled stars, such as robert Downey Jr. eventually get forgiven by hollywood and may eventually ressuscitate their careers...i tend to take such a statement with a heavy pinch of salt, as apart from a movie here and there, no one can rightfully say these actors are in as high demand as they used to be...
Another example is Tom Cruise post- flake out on Oprah's show a few months ago...if he wasn't producing his own movies these last few years, how often would we see him per year on the screen?
As for Lindsay being sexy: I was walking out of a magazine store a week or so ago when i was stopped in my tracks by a cover photo that totally got my attention; It was a face shot of Lindsay, wearing a lot of make-up but applied in such a way that i had drool spilling out of my mouth...(I think it was Maxim magazine, but I'll check...)
