Can you believe the fuckin' Mets left that poor kid (Flores) in the game after telling him he got traded? What a piss-poor organization!!!!

The trade isn't official yet

Have not seen any scores besides the Yanks yet so lemme take one guess who pitched for the rouge hose tonight? The $21 million dollar man, Slick Rick porcello???

And the answer is easy as to why they challenged, it is their only chance at winning anything tonight or lately lol......
It's the top of the 8th in a game tonight. A team, which has no chance of appearing in the post-season, is already behind by 7 runs. They challenge a close play.

My question: Why bother?

(Some will be delighted to know that the team in question is Boston. I am still curious.)

Correct, from what i heard, at the time it was not official, once it was Terry Collins took him out. The Mets are going for it Smuler, adding some much needed bats the last few days. I know you were high on Wheeler but if they win the world series this year and the guys they traded for help to win, you will be elated. With that said, it is not likely they will win it all but hey,

As long as the Yanks do not have to give up any of Aaron Judge, Greg Bird, Luis Severino or Jorge Mateo then i would welcome Price to the Boogie Down Bronx with open arms. If the Jays get him, i would like that as well. Personally i do NOT want to see the Yanks giving up young talent that is close to becoming full time big leaguers next season, some might even get a lot of playing time come september. Love Refsnyder and Gary Sanchez as well but they are definately trade bait as are all the others but those four listed should be untoucable as three of the four will be Yankees next year or at least that is the plan as of now.
Cole Hamels traded to the Texas Rangers

The Rangers traded 3 or 4 prospects (Williams, Alfraro, Eichoff, etc) to the Phillies for the ace.

Now David Price's value will continue to increase. Will the Jays pull a rabbit out of a hat and get the big lefty? Or will he go to the Yankees? Where will he go?

The trade is dead. Wheeler's health supposedly scared away the Brewers.

But the Mets should have waited until the deal was official to announce it to the kid. Or at least take him out of the lineup. Don't torture the poor kid and leave him out in the field!

I fucking hate the Mets. As much as i hate the Yankees and Red Sox, to be honest.

David Price will likely go to the highest bidder. Detroit might also chose a team which will not only agree to take on Price's contract, but also some of their other players that they're trying to unload.

I'd love to see Price go to the Jays, only because they badly need another starter (especially a quality one) to contend. But i'd be as happy seem Jeff Samardja join the Jays if it means they won't have to give them the farm in order to get him.

Someone on twitter just posted that its quite possible Wilmer Flores was crying because he may have found out he wasn't being traded out of New York. ;)

Dodgers, Jays, Astros and Giants all rumoured to be in discussions with the Tigers re: David Price. But i have a feeling that the Yankees have also been calling them.

So the deal never went thru? I had heard it did

No. Alderson told the media there was no deal. That it was dead. People are saying that Wheeler's TJ surgery either scared away the Brewers or he didn't pass the physical. I've also heard that the Mets bowed out of the deal after all the backlash from fans and media alike after tonight's game re: the way they handled the announcement to Flores.

Well, the Mets will trade a starting pitcher in order to get a big bat. Rumour flying the other day was that Noah Syndergaard was the likely pitcher to be dealt. Other pundits have also said the same thing, that Syndergaard would be the most likely to get traded if a trade were to happen. If i were the Mets, he'd be the last guy i'd trade. Now if he does get traded, i have a feeling that Smuler will definitely not be a happy camper.

David Price is a Blue Jay!!!!!

The Toronto Blue Jays just traded for David Price. In exchange, the Tigers get Daniel Norris and Anthony Alford.

Great trade!!!! It shows the fan base and the current players that the Jays are serious about bringing back a championship to Toronto!! :thumb:

Congrats to the Blue Jays! And just as i said in spring training, it would come down to the Yanks and Jays fighting it out for the top 2 spots in the division and the red sox would be the perennial bottom feeders, once again.

I just learned that Anthony Alford wasn't included in the deal, so it now looks like it's David Price for pitchers Daniel Norris, Matt Boyd & Jairo Labourt.

Michael Pineda injured again

He's just been put on the DL with a forearm strain and he's expected to miss at least a month. Ouch!!! He was supposed to pitch tonight's game. C.C. Sabathia will pitch instead tonight. Sabathia was supposed to get an extra day's rest until his next start, so now that resting day gets thrown out the window.

Pineda, 26, is 9-7 with a 3.97 ERA this season. He previously missed two full seasons with shoulder issues. The Yankees have tried to limit his innings this year, even skipping him one turn through the rotation during the first half.

Pineda has thrown 118 innings so far. He had thrown more than 100 innings in a season only once before, when he pitched 171 innings in 2011 as a rookie with the Mariners. The following spring, he hurt his shoulder.

p.s. Is a visit with Dr. Jobe in the plans?
