Leafs On Fire
Congrats to the Leafs...or actually to James Reimer, who is the ONLY reason they've managed to win some games recently.
Reimer's play has vaulted the Leafs all the way up to 24th place - an AMAZINGLY high rank for such a sad sack bunch of losers. Well done James!
The Leafs under Babs have now won 7 of 20 games...for a 35% winning record...again, FAR better than you'd normally expect from this utterly woeful and disgusting franchise! Well done Babs!

Of course when the Leafs DO get high picks, they invariably either TRADE them ("Thank you Mr. Burke") or totally botch them ("Thank you Mr. Nonis." "Thank you Mr. Shanahan.") so it doesn't really matter anyway.
Whatever this embarrassingly wretched franchise does is guaranteed to end in humiliating failure...as has been proven countless times during the past half century. And yet some poor souls STILL persist in drinking the Koolaid.

I think you're referring to this article (see link below for article) that explains how the value of the Leafs is plummeting. For some inexplicable reason the Leafs were the highest valued NHL team for several years despite the fact that they have long been the absolute worst franchise in all North American sports. NOW they have dropped to 3rd (behind the Rangers and Habs...and JUST ahead of the Blackhawks).
Even LEAF fans are realizing their team flat-out SUCKS with its half-century history of humiliation and abject failure and NO end in sight. The "rebuilding" dream is just another lame MARKETING attempt to try to hang onto the dreamers who still like a little Koolaid with their hopeless fantasy of the Leafs ever being anything but doormats.

I think the leafs will come back and i hope they do. They are part of the original 6 its a Canadian team with some bizarre fan.
