That`s why the "senile" Biden needs a strong and electable VP. In my opinion and in an ideal world, that would be a moderate Republican like the Senator from Alaska. The next best choice would be the Governor of Michigan.
Murkowski could not care less about Trump, it's true, and she's one of the few GOP senators to publicly rebuke him at times, alongside Romney and Collins, but when you vote 74.4% in line with Trump's positions, you are persona non grata with Democrats.
Whitmer has indeed shown impressive leadership during the pandemic, but i look at Klobuchar who took herself out of the VP race( to be honest, the George Floyd incident ruined it for her since she was a prosecutor in Minnesota ) and urged Biden to pick a woman of color and that is what is trending lately.
Biden owes his nomination to Jim Clyburn, the black political icon, who endorsed him at the last minute in the South Carolina primary, starting a comeback which will go down in history as one of the most remarkable ever; especially if he becomes President.
Clyburn"s VP pick is Keisha Lance Bottoms, therefore she is in the race.
The others :
Harris
Rice ( Susan not Condi )
Demings
Abrams
Grisham
and Warren, who is the only nonwhite candidate.
Michelle as the dark horse.
Bookmakers have Harris as the favorite, as of now.
