Comme George Floyd, plus de mille personnes sont tuées par la police chaque année, et près d’un quart d’entre elles sont noires.

Police violence: Blacks are three times more likely to die than whites when arrested.
In Minneapolis, the black population suffocates under the weight of economic and social inequalities.
The median income of black households is less than half that of white households (43.4%). Their unemployment rate (10.3%) is three times higher than that of whites (3.6%) and the rate of homeowners three times lower (25.4% against 75.3%).
Blacks are 8.7 times more likely to be arrested for minor offenses and account for 60% of those killed by police between 2000 and 2018.
And yet, according to a Reuters study of 3,000 complaints of misconduct against the Minneapolis Police Force between 2012 and 2020, 9 out of 10 did not result in any disciplinary action.
That says it all.
