MSNBC's Lawrence O'Donnell speaks to Russian journalist Andrei Soldatov about the growing dissension among Vladimir Putin's inner circle for how badly the Russian invasion of Ukraine is going.

When a dictator makes conditions so that nobody dares to tell him bad news, he can't react to a bad situation because nobody has told him about it - in other words, he has made himself incompetent.

According to The Guardian newspaper, Western officials say that Russian leader Vladimir Putin has lost eight of his top generals since the beginning of the invasion.
Here is the list published in the Guardian:

Lieutenant General Yakov Rezanstev: Killed
Major General Andrey Mordvich: Killed
Major General Oleg Mityaev: Killed
Major General Vitaliy Gerasimov: Killed
Major General Andrei Sukhovetsky: Killed
Major General Andrey Kolesnikov: Killed
General Magomed Tushaev: Killed
General Vlaislav Yershov: Fired

Yakov said the war is gonna be shortlived, the war disagreed and Yakov became shortlived.

Imagine losing a third of your command structure in a month, Ukraine is kicking their ass!

My video is private.

I put another one.

Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich and Ukrainian peace negotiators have suffered symptoms of suspected "chemical weapons" poisoning, according to reports.

Symptoms reportedly included "piercing pain in the eyes" but the dosage and type of toxin was unlikely to be sufficient enough to cause life-threatening damage and "was most likely intended to scare", according to investigative website Bellingcat.

Nearly 5,000 people, including about 210 children, have been killed in the southern Ukrainian city of Mariupol since Russian forces laid siege to it, a spokesperson for the mayor said on Monday.

Foreign fighters from Belarus have officially joined Ukraine’s military to take on the Russian forces.
In a video shared on social media, the battalion can be seen taking an oath to Belarus.
The members of the Belarusian Volunteer Battalion took an oath and became part of Ukraine’s Armed Forces.

Thank you Belarus. God be with you and protect you.

Belarus is Russia's chief ally in the region and their leader Lukashenko is Putin's Boot-licker In Chief:

1 minivan fits 6 people and is 5.1+ meters long. Imagine a bubble 5.5 meters long if it was stuck in traffic.

5000 people would need 833 minivans.

So 833 minivans stuck in traffic would be 833 x 5.5m = 4,581m or 4.6 km. That's nearly all the way around Montreal Olympic Park - just imagine all those minivans stretching as far as the eye can see, full of dead women and children.

Innocents, whose only fault was being Ukrainian.

Former oligarch Mikhail Khodorkovsky, who was once the richest man in Russia before spending 10 years in prison for going against Vladimir Putin, speaks with CNN's Erin Burnett about the Russian president's mindset and the state of the country's military a month into the war in Ukraine.

Imagine how Putin reacted when he found out that his Generals were doing the same thing that he does?

It seems there is some progress in the negos ;) ..BUT am very sceptical....tout ce que veut le tyran c'est de faire durer ces negos ad nauseam afin de continuer sa barbare destruction de l'Ukraine.....ce qu'il veut c'est une reddition complète...rien d'autre.

Guess the Russians got tired of getting their teeth kicked in... now pulling back from Kyiv and Chernihiv (80km north of Kyiv & 30+ km south of the border).

For comparative purposes American Casualties in around 8 years of the Vietnam War were 58,000. Russia has managed to rack up almost a third of that body count in just 2 months, if those estimates are correct. So to say Ukraine has become Russia's Vietnam might be something of an understatement.
