Russia bombs Red Cross building in Mariupol as new drone footage shows apocalyptic scenes across the city and 70 women and medics are abducted from maternity hospital and taken to Russia.

Mariupol has been all-but razed by air strikes launched by Moscow's forces

What was once a bustling port city of 400,000 people now lies in total ruin

The aerial video shows destroyed buildings stretching as far as the eye can see

President Vladimir Putin said the city must surrender before the shelling ends

Kyiv has accused Moscow of forcibly evacuating 20,000 people to Russia

It said 70 medics and women were taken today from a Mariupol maternity ward

Another maternity hospital in Mariupol was hit by bombardment on March 9

Russia bombs Red Cross building in Mariupol

Although its into the second month of this invasion, still can't believe that we would witness such horror in the year
of 2022 (I thought what we are seeing now in Ukraine were all part of history and not to be repeated again).
I guess I didn't know that Stalin the 2nd (Or wanna be) would show up, "Elected" by the Russian people.
So nothing would surprise me anymore even if we witness more and worse horror stories.

After witnessing what we are witnessing...if I meet a Taliban or Isis guy right now...I would invite them for a beer...

Around the corner
This will not stop until the West intervenes with military force.
The threat of nuclear war is always there whether they do or not, I don’t understand how we can all sit back and watch how a whole country can be bombed and women and children slaughtered. Is it correct as human beings to allow this simply because they are not members of NATO.
History will not be kind to Europe or North America for allowing this to happen yet again.
That idiot Bidet was completely correct that Putin should not be allowed to remain in power he just didn’t need to open his stupid mouth and announce it.

I don`t trust a word the Russians say. There are intel reports that they are bringing up a hundred thousand reservists as well as hundreds of Chechen convicts.

Don`t forget that they don`t drink alcohol.

It`s ironic that one of the reasons putin gave for invading , was to protect the russian speaking minority. Yet the 2 cities and civilian populations that have taken the biggest bombardment and casualties are predominately russian speaking. The guy is a madman who hates his own people.

In an interview with MSNBC’s Ari Melber, former Russian Foreign Minister Andrei Kozyrev says Kremlin insiders would sooner overthrow Putin than give him bad news about the war in Ukraine.
Melber and Kozyrev analyze how fear and corruption compromise the Kremlin's competence in this interview.
They also discuss why U.S. officials and intelligence are publicly citing Putin's information problem now -- 35 days into the war -- and a recent report citing “persistent tension” between Putin and his military leaders.

CNN’s Christiane Amanpour reacts to news that Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on spring conscription, fixing a target for 134,500 individuals to be drafted into the Russian armed forces.

Imagine you just get done graduating high school after or during the worst pandemic in years, start looking for secondary schools then your drafted into the millitary to fight a war you never wanted.

Vladimir Putin “massively misjudged” the invasion of Ukraine, according to a UK spy chief who said that Russian soldiers were refusing to carry out orders, were sabotaging their own equipment and had mistakenly shot down their own aircraft.

No one is brave enough to tell Putin the truth. He does thinks things are going great.

This was the fate of young boys for 40 years in the iron curtain countries not to mention that after their draft ended they were not allowed to leave the country for a couple of years and if they happened to have been stationed anywhere near nuclear instalments they were forbidden forever.
This is not new this has been going on for ages.

"Tonight, we received a message from the International Red Cross Committee that the Russian Federation confirms its readiness to open access for the humanitarian convoy to the city of Mariupol.

The remote firing system is really nice. Makes you less terrified when an angry tank starts to look for you. Also helps that Russian tanks have easy to hit fuel cells and ammo racks.

Very impressive stuff! The war has dragged on for a month and the Ukrainians are showing incomprehensible courage and will to defend their country and freedom.
They will learn new tactics and become even more fierce on the battle field.

Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said Thursday that the G20 group of nations must re-evaluate the participation of Russia and its president Vladimir Putin following Russia's invasion of Ukraine.

"When it comes to Vladimir Putin sitting around that table with the rest of us, that's going to be extraordinarily difficult for us and unproductive for the G20," Trudeau told reporters before entering the House of Commons.

"Bottom line, it can't be business as usual to have Vladimir Putin sitting around the table pretending that everything is OK. Because it's not OK and it's his fault."

Trudeau said the G20, which he described as a group dedicated to ensuring economic growth, will not be able to function with Russian participation.

"Russia has, right now, with its illegal invasion of Ukraine, upended economic growth for everyone around the world and can't possibly be a constructive partner in how we manage … the crisis," he said.

The G20's next meeting is set to take place from November 15 to 16 in Bali, Indonesia.

Russia's ambassador to Indonesia has said Putin plans to attend.

Putin believes by November the war will be long over, somewhat forgotten and in the rear view mirror. And it will be back to business as usual with the world. Chances are he will probably be right.

Also:
A fire broke out at a fuel storage facility in the Russian city of Belgorod located close to the Ukrainian border, regional governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said, two days after the province was rocked by blasts at an arms depot.

I understand the Ukrainians, but I think it was not a good idea, because Putin is unpredictable, and he will say that it's the Ukrainians who attack Russia.
