Ukrainian Refugees Returning Home to Ukraine:
CNN reporting 442,000 have gone back to Ukraine. Housing shortages and language problems for children in schools, among many other issues. If your kid doesn't speak Polish he isn't going to learn too much in Polish schools. Nobody wants to sleep on the hard floor of a Church for weeks on end, but that's the best many of these people can hope for.

Also haven't seen any posts from anyone here that they took in a Ukrainian refugee, even though Canada has allowed a bunch in and I presume at least some of you have an extra bedroom.
Ya, I'm surprised too that we haven't heard much about Ukrainian refugees coming to Canada, considering Canada has the 2nd largest Ukrainian diaspora in the world.

So many Ukrainian Canadians living in the prairie provinces.

All these countries are doing is pissing in the wind.
Expelling diplomats, further sanctions yeah it really seems to be helping.
Zelensky is right, what good is the UN security council if all it does is yap while women and children are being murdered, raped and tortured.
The only thing that will deter Putin is military force he doesn’t understand anything else and will not stop until NATO and the rest of the free world finally puts an end to him.

Agreed!

Every time I see Justin Trudeau tweet out "we condemn Putin's actions and we'll steadfast support Ukraine in this conflict" I laugh my ass off because I'm like...ya Trudeau...sending angry tweets & sanctions at Putin is not doing anything. You idiot.

We've been supporting Ukraine substantially in the last few years. Pre-war, Canada sent about $1B in aid after 2014. Justin got elected in 2015, so he gets most of the credit here. This is why Zelensky called Trudeau a friend of Ukraine.

USA - with an economy 10x of ours, only sent $1.8B (no thanks to cough Trump cough). Of course US has been much more generous in the last 60 days, but the aid we provided has gone a long way in helping Ukraine remake and rebuild its military.

Yeah, wonder how Canadians would feel of Putin was attacking us and the rest of the world including the US would just stand by and talk for hours on end about giving us second hand old Russian tanks and watched our women and children being murdered, bet you wouldn’t be against a little military force then.
Nothing like telling people who are losing their country and family that we fight for democracy but only with words.
Wonder what NATO’s spiel will be when Putin attacks the Baltic countries who are next right after Moldova.
NATO and the rest of the free world basically suck and are scared shitless of a madman that will continue to use this threat to do what ever he wants until he is finally stopped.

I actually I think if Putin were to invade the Baltic countries, NATO will do nothing.

The main Western countries will squirm but ultimately think that sacrificing the Baltic countries is worth it than having a 3rd World War vs Russia and Putin knows this.

Although...I do think the American warhawk generals (generals with ties to defense contractors) and military industry complex in the United States probably wants a war, lol

I bet the CEOs of Lockheed Martin, Ratheon, etc probably want the United States to fight in Ukraine right now lol

They are killing 'us'..every civilian in that conflict who is injured or killed should be considered part of our extended family. Let the generals play their games, but leave the rest of us out of it.

Actually you guys have lost track of reality. Putin is madder than a rabid dog but he cares for his legacy and doesn`t want it to end at the end of a hangman`s noose . There is no way that he will attack a NATO member. Right now he has his hands full and will be lucky to end up with a partial conquest of Ukraine over the next several months.
BTW right now it is the US military who are the doves and urging caution against the threats of war being uttered by some politicians.

Agreed so what are his options.
He will be prosecuted for war crimes no matter what after what has already happened in Ukraine or he will be assassinated with the help of the West, Russian speaking Mosad agents seem quite capable or by his own group who will be threatened of being isolated from the riches of the world for their lifetime.
The only option left is military force as he will not stop anymore he has no option but to continue.
His only hope is getting enough help from China and that won’t happen the only time China will take on the rest of the world is when they know they can win, they are just as ruthless as Putin but a lot smarter.

I don’t know about you but it is definitely not the way I would defend my family, I would do it exactly the way the Ukrainians are doing it
The generals games always end up with civilian deaths and young men who don’t even know what or why they are fighting and dying, they never leave us out of it we get to be the ones dying for their games.
