Look behind you.
Do not usually follow the US elections but trump caught my attention, a rednecks president, the silent majority.

This is actually quite interesting.

If Trump wins and Kevin O'Leary gets into politics we may have non lawyers and business men running our countries, it would be a good thing. IMO

Agreed, there is nothing wrong of being a conservative. I can't say I really like Cruz, he has been caught for lying few times, especially the dirty trick he played to Carson.
But now he looks like the only shot to stop Trump. And non of these candidates are 100% honest.
As for democracts, Clinton is a corrupt liar, the other one is an old socialist bastard.
Just my two cents
Btw Cruz could be the first Canadian US president.

I don't buy the birthright citizenship argument. Natural born means one of your parents were citizens at the time of your birth. There are 2 ways to become a US citizen. 1) Through the Naturalization process - you are not a citizen and you do all of the immigration requirements to become a citizen or 2) One or both of your parents were citizens at the time of your birth so you become a citizen. The 3rd option was only made possible through a Supreme Court ruling (United States v. Wong Kim Ark - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_States_v._Wong_Kim_Ark) where the baby was the son of a legal alien and born in the US. There is serious questions about offspring of illegal aliens (anchor babies).

In US vs. Wong Kim Ark, the Supreme used the 14th amendment in its opinion. But it is clear that the 14th Amendment was established for the slaves to become US citizens.

Getting back to Cruz, there are many persons born outside of the US who become citizens because one or both of their parents are US citizens. They do not have to go through a Naturalization process. Cruz didn't. Neither do others, so Trump is ignorant in this matter.

The right wingers phony narrative "Hillary is corrupt/criminal" is unlikely to sway most Americans. She still has the highest favorable ratings over the Republican candidates. Smear campaigns only go so far against a person as accomplished and respected as Clinton.

Phony? The FBI doesn't investigate phony things nor do they give immunity to someone when their target is not in serious crap. She broke felonies. But this is the leftist mindset. Criminal law does not pertain to the leftists, but it does for all others.

The FBI, another cruel joke played upon the peoples of the United States. They should be called the 'Federal Bunglers of Investigation', for, that is all they do.

But what else can one expect from a 'Democractic' system? Justice?

Again, Democracy itself is the cancer and has always been the damn cancer.

She has no draw, whatsoever, on the biggest demographic- the independents. I do not believe that she has it in her to draw the independents and republican voters like Obama or Bill did. Even many democrats don't like her. Whereas Sanders is a darling for independents and even has a decent draw on republicans who might not vote red following their circus . The only reason one could possibly vote for her is cuz of a blue vote arising from anti-republican sentiment ( more specifically anti-trump sentiment) if she ends up getting the nomination.

You have to wonder why every other article on CNN, MSN is about Drumpf (the fear mongering is real) and much of her campaign (speeches) seems to target republicans and rarely takes on sanders. Compare that with the vitriolic campaign she ran against Obama during democratic nomination in 2008. If anything, much of her words are directly derived from what bernie has been saying for the past year and half.

Clinton hasn't been charged, let alone convicted, of anything. Just because something is repeated a thousand times on Faux News, Breitbart, Newsmax and other right wing kool-aid outlets, doesn't make it true. But this is the right wing mindset, often unable to distinguish between conspiracy, speculation and reality. Right wing politicians and strategists know this very well.

Gee you sound like someone we all know.

Anyhow, she should be charged soon. Just be patient. I know it's hard for you.

Au contraire, Democrats are feeling pretty good these days, comfortable with both our candidates and the generally respectful tone of our debates.

No need to describe the chaotic mess on the other side. The daily developments don't let up either. Today Rubio is saying he embarrassed his kids with his personal attacks on Trump. Ouch.

In related politics - Trudeau's recent visit in Washington is something else. You haven't seen that many Canadians cheering on the White House's front lawn since 1812...when we burned it down! :)

My heart is with Sanders but my mind says it will be Clinton unfortunately. Republican race is more interesting, I can't believe Trump is leading.

You are forgetting the other half of the anti-prostitution coalition, which is the contemporary feminist movement. The approach of the feminist movement and their right wing allies to abolishing prostitution is to equate it in the public mind with "sex trafficking." This approach is embodied by an organization called Polaris that is closely allied with the Clinton (as in Bill and Hillary) Foundation. Here is an excerpt from The War on Sex Trafficking Is the New War on Drugs (in Reason.com) that describes the role Polaris plays in trying to abolish--not control, not regulate, not discourage but outright abolish--prostitution.

I know that the fierce opposition of the contemporary feminist movement to prostitution is unsettling to people who lean to the left politically but that's too bad. The anti-prostitution movement is made up of people and organizations from both the left wing and the right wing. If you want to join a political movement that is neither right nor left and is in favor of decriminalizing prostitution, then vote libertarian. But please stop pretending that it just "right wing conservative politicians" who want to abolish prostitution. Hillary Clinton and her feminist supporters wholeheartedly support abolishing prostitution.

Huh? I never talked about Hilary and btw Hilary is more centre wing then left wing. But Hilary would be a far better choice then Ted Cruz. Ted Cruz is the most dangerous politician right now far worse then Trump. Ted Cruz is a religious zealot he is a Christian before he is an American. This man should never be elected and he will completely go after prostitution I guarantee it.

Cloud, prostitution in the US is prosecuted by the State governments, more so the local municipalities. The only Federal crime for prostitution is the Mann Act, where a person has to move prostitutes across state lines for the purpose of prostitution. This is a very seldom prosecuted crime. So your statement that Cruz will go after prostitution is not realistic, and is impossible. Cruz believes in following the Constitution unlike the wreck we have in office at the moment. In the US Constitution, government cannot establish a religion. So your fears are unwarranted and your statement is not true.

USA will never roll over on prostitution, whoever will run the country. So it's not even a subject when comes the times to choose a President.

If there is a difference between the candidates on that subject, it is VERY thin.
