Thank you for the newsflash. Bill Kristol was indeed one of the founders of the The Weekly Standard, so close enough on that score. As that publication was successfully run aground and ceased to exist in 2018, Bill Kristol obviously had to find other targets for his immense managerial skills. His "We are all Democrats now" tweet of February 1st should indeed be celebrated by all progressive patriots. Do we already see his hand at work in the Iowa caucuses?

BTW "we" didn't elect Trump only voters in 3 states by a very narrow margin. Trump lost the raw vote by close to 3 million. The electoral college is almost as bad as the Iowa Caucus screwed up mess we are now in! Oh Canada!

Actually the opposite is true. The impeachment was the clearest cut abuse of power. But outside the fake news of the Trump network (Fox) Trump has been the worst Pres for the U.S. probably since Andrew Jackson. He lies all the time even on minor issues that is easily proven wrong. He has destroyed relationships with most of our long-time allies and befriends and follows the policies of Russian Putin to help Russia destroy US as a world power. He lives in a world of fantasy and loves making chaos. No American bank will loan to him for years with all his bankruptcies, scams (Trump Univ and his fake Charity forced to liquidate by NY AG). He has been a scam artist his entire life, name calls anyone against him and has no knowledge or world affairs.

He is the first President not to partake in his security daily briefs or read them. His aids stay everything presented to him has to be at the level of a grade-schooler for him to understand or be interested in.

Now we have Iran with nuclear development again. Iran was far less a threat even with bad stuff they do with the Nuclear deal than now. Not to mention the disaster with N Korea and his good buddy.

The Trade deals are a joke. The North American Free Trade deal (not yet ratified by Canada) is a very minor tweak to the old deal (The worst deal in history, Trump crows). The China phase 1 deal is likely never to be realized and doesn't address most of the issues where China is cheating. The $250m goal of new purchases as a stretch and now with the virus almost certainly not to be reached.

In the US farmers are having the largest number of bankruptcies since the Depression despite the huge payment to keep farmer voting for Trump which is 3 times the auto bailout the Republicans were so upset about.

Our GDP growth under Trump (2.3% in 2019 and may go below 2% in 2020) is slower than the same period under Obama. The brief short uptick to 3% was due to the $trillion tax reductions almost all of the most wealthy and paid for by increasing our already huge deficit. The highest income folks already had some of the lowest tax rates of developed nations even not including value-added taxes in many countries. I was a tax accountant in then a Big 8 CPA firm and remember how great it was to have $52k of earned income since qualified for the max tax on earned income of 50% vs up to 70% on unearned income. And we had a great economy in those higher tax days.

I could list much more of our criminal President and all his indicted or in prison top folks he chooses - like a mafia leader. Not to mention the kids and all the profits he is making using his hotels and resorts which requires massive costs of secret service, staff etc vs what other Presidents did. And all the Golf that he blamed Obama for spending too much time on and when he was President he would work and not golf - Yet so far he has gone golfing like 10 times more than Obama.

After the Mueller report that laid out his encouragement of Russian interference with the election which continues today, and the part 2 charges would have indicted probably anyone except the President saved by the DOL policy of not indicting a sitting President.

Only the Russian related bank will loan to him in the last decade. He desperately does not want his tax returns released that probably show lots of Russian investments or loans supporting his failing real estate empire. We got a hint of this in the Ukraine mess with the millions from Russia funneled through his attorney Rudy and his fake conspiracy theories about Biden.

He is a total fake, lying scam artist. But his skills at scamming are convincing many voters who do not follow the facts like some of us do!

Building a wall ?!?
No new border wall has been constructed on stretches that did not already have a border barrier, or if you prefer , not a single mile of wall has been built where no barrier previously existed.
At least, once the new construction finally begins , Mexico will pay for it.

A minor correction - 1 mile of new construction has been added to the other 400? some miles that was just replacing old wall/fence that was falling apart.

Those that cross the border where no walls, come with their hands up wanting to be picked up since most are fleeing the gang killings, etc in Central America. Most drugs come in from the ports of entry stashed in cars/trucks etc and some from Canada. When will Trump want a Canadian wall?

Having said that, I don't think these were impeachable offenses, I think the rules were meant for really really serious offenses, for
simple stuff like these, there are elections to take care of those.

Also, it could be first if Trump gets elected again (Almost 100% sure)* that he could get impeached again by Pelosi
(On a side note, I guess she must have been on her period at the night of the SOTU speech...?, great comedy, entertainment).
