Tell me why a vegetarian would go in a steakhouse?

L

Lily from Montreal

I am asking because I had a message that left me baffled.
A guy wrote to me asking to be my friend...A very short note without any info making him attractive. I answered my customary reply: yes but I need a bit more info and I gave my site. He replies that he do not pay for sex as he won't meet hookers...

Hum, he wrote to an escort on an escort review site and he expect to get sex for free? And he do not even have the excuse of the pretty young thing who write to me all the time that I really should see them pro-bono since I've ''never been fucked like I would be with them ...'' since he is past the 40 mark, I guess that my theory of over 40 men being smarter has its exeption loll

I usually do not bother replying to those comment but this time I admit I was a bit sarcastic and could not resist and told him that me too, I do not meet guys who fuck hookers since I aim at meeting gentleman who enjoy the company of escorts...
Why would someone with that attitude even bothered creating an handle and writing to a escort? If you are not into a stamps why join a philatelist site?

Around Montréal...
Lily,

That's simply a time waster, like the several we are getting as usual.

I use to answer politely to all my emails, but now that I am almost sure there are people who are against our activity who are trying to discourage the girl/lady by sending those kind of empty letters, (Don't forget, that's proven that there are massive sending of the same letter to all the ladies around...)
I decided to just keep to answer to people who are serious, polite & gentlemen in their manners, and want to share a real encounter, not just keep to exchange for the "trip" to exchange with a sex worker. Some people are just getting excited by the fact that you are answering also... Creepy. And really not worth our attention at all.

That's a good way to keep our happiness and zenitude, believe me. Those moronastic emails are just driving out energy for nothing. Just let them go without any answer, if I may tell you a little advice. :amen:

You Need To Go Out More Often!

This is an easy question. For the salads!!!!!! You guys never had the salads at Madison's steakhouse near the Bell Center? I think you guys do not go out enough. All I am eating these days is salads and the best ones I have had are at steakhouses. The one I had at Madison's was great. Served with a cheese bread of some kind, which I did not eat.

I would have no problem taking a vegetarian to a steak house even though I am only eating salads. As long as the salads are good. I really liked Madison's. Montreal generally is not a great place to get entree salads, but Madison's is an exception. The steakhouses in the USA generally have much better entree salads than what I have observed in Montreal.

Gibby's only serves a side salad, and I would not take a vegetarian there. It's a shame that Gibby's does not do entree salads like Madisons because Gibby's dressing is DA BOMB. Best house salad dressing evah!!!!!!

I am a little confused by this thread.....since the answer is in my mind a resounding YES if we wanted to go get some salads.

Lily,

Madisons Steak House near the Bell Center has good entree salads, which you can get with or without chicken. In fact you can get it with several different chicken options, grilled, or tenders. The Keg Steakhouse makes a very good Caesar salad, which you can also get with grilled chicken, shrimp or steak at your option. Gibby's is one of the better steakhouses in Montreal, and although Gibby's does not have entree salads, they have a superb side salad which you could get with their vegetarian Eggplant Parmigiana.

You really do need to get out a bit more and enjoy these fine restaurants in your fine city. My hope is you can find some suitable dates, or girlfriends, with whom you can do that. :whoo:

You are the one that lives there, not me.:p

You are right but usually that attitude is more frequent from my too young wanna be friends who turns nasty when I say no and their last word is ''I am the one who should pay them to fuck (!) and I would never have an experience like with them'', makes me laugh all the time which is a nice way to start my day even if it was not the effect expected ...

Just a note: Beaver, you do realized this thread is not a restaurant thread at all?xxx
And as for me going out more to enjoy Montreal's resto, well I guess it is the same as the festivals, I do not go either, being here makes one forgets how special Montreal activity wise...It helps to be a tourists to enjoy those...

The title of the thread is, "tell me why a vegetarian would go in a steakhouse." I gave you a very detailed answer to your question. If you do not want an answer, don't ask the question. It just so happens I know a little bit about this subject because all I am eating when I go out is salads these days, as I am on a no carb diet.

There is such things as metaphors?
But I understand if you are on diet it is enough to makes one cranky...my diet is mainly coffee and chocolate, makes for better mood than salad...although I just discovered dressings, I never used to put any in my salad, guess what? it really enhance the taste loll, I am not really into food...
Just saw curious answer...loll

Look behind you.
For those who have never eaten vegan food there is a restaurant called Copper branch, maybe Copper tree in Montreal... I went there with my daughter who was a vegan, now vegetarian.... I had a mixed bowl of something that tasted very good, coming from a meataterian that is a great compliment.
As for fries, most are deep fried in animal fat, vegetarian maybe, vegan no

I have to say that a co-worker of mine is from India. He is some obscure religion where you cannot even swat a mosquito. He cannot even kill a plant to eat it. So we would make calls and go out to restaurants and the poor guy would suffer. One day I told him that I want him to pick the restaurant. He selected a vegan place. He still had to consult with the chefs. I enjoyed my food because I no longer had to eat in front of a half-starved Indian guy. We returned the next day for breakfast and dinner. Two out of three times the food was pretty tolerable. They even served us vegan tiramisu. He was all excited. "Is this what it really tastes like?" For my friend I made exception.

But still, I am sick and tired of some my relatives telling me "Hey I got some tofu that tastes just like bacon." Next time they come over I am going to serve a ham that tastes just like cauliflower...."you just got to try it," I'll say.
