ANDREESCU will play tomorrow.....and FÉLIX vs SHAPO....game to watch.

Oh boy...SERENA destroyed MARIA in 2 little sets....SERENA est dans sa bulle and in her comfort zone.....if she keeps that momentum she will write history nexr week.....none could approach her when she played the way she did yesterday....BUT it's always un délice to watch 2 DIVAS--LEGENDS playing....les 2 ont fait faire un pas de géant au tennis féminin.

Huge day pour les Canadiens today...5 are on.....ANDREESCU---POSPISIL--FÉLIX--SHAPO and new kid SCHNUR......malheureusement at the end of the day probably only 2 will move on....

Yep...and it was great day pour nos Canadiens......big big surprise and win for POSPISIL on KHACHANOV ---SEEDED 9---in 5 sets--4 hres-......am so happy for this kid.....bien mérité.

Easy win for Shapo in 3 sets....obviously Félix was not ready for that street fight combat with Shapo.

Easy win also for ANDREESCU in 2 sets.....BUT what a boring match with negative body langage....plz BIANCA comes alive...shows some emotion and enjoyed more the game.

For me the nicest moment was la victoire de COCO GAUFF---15 years old......what a sweetheart.

Big surprise......TSITSIPAS and THIEM are out.....keep an eye on RUBLEV and MEDVEDEV ..both are playing intense and inspiring tennis lately.

Note....the road for SERENA to win.....she will have to go through number 1-2 and 3.....OSAKA--BARTY--PLISKOVA.....grosse commande....BUT she can do it......

Very sad to see Venus Williams go out in straight sets to Svitolina. I saw Venus Williams in the championship matches at New Haven in the summers of 2000 and 2001, summers when she won the US Open and was the #1 player in the world. However, I believe the women's draw in 2019 is MUCH deeper in talent than it was back then, something we saw evidence of already with many top players being pushed to 3 sets in their 1st round matches. You really cannot count on any easy matches at all if you are a woman in this year's draw. Serena could get beat in any round, so could all of the top players.

Venus...i was sad also...i watched her playing....she fought and gave her best with intensity-----exciting match--BUT 7 doubles fautes vs SVITO....too bad...when you play SVITO #5 you have to b perfect.....she is too good....

Agree there will b no easy win for top players....the new generation of talented girls play with no fear and nothing to loose with a dynamic and positive energy......so SVITO---PLISKO--KEYS---BARTY and SERENA on their way to 3th round.

Even when Venus was #1 in the world she had very high rates of unforced errors and double faults. Now she doesn’t hit as many winners as she used to and doesn’t move as well as she used to, so the unforced errors and DFs are killer
