tournament:yo::yo::yo:...and what an elegant lady..........i really love her.........Sloane , love her too---defending Champ....also won in 2 sets......Serena plays tonight.....

Kyrgios Umpire Will Keep Working, “Stick To Protocols”

To me the issue isn’t whether the umpire was coaching Kyrgios, but whether any umpire has a duty to tell a tanking player or a player not at his best that “it’s not a good look”:

Umpire at Kyrgios match will keep working https://es.pn/2N67NwM

There is no such duty, by an umpire, in any sport. If a player is either physically or mentally injured the player can ask for an injury timeout. There is no need for the umpire to do anything other than grant a timeout if it’s requested. Umpires have no responsibility to conduct a “welfare check” on the mental or physical health of a player. It is the player that has the duty to request a timeout if one is needed. Kyrgios didn’t ask for a timeout.
