The internment of the Japanese, in the US and Canada, is indeed a shameful history. Just out of curiosity, are we saying that it would be a good thing for Arab-Americans and Arab-Canadians--for all Canadian and US Muslims, for all those of Middle-Eastern descent who are legally in these countries--to start stockpiling weapons in case Trump or Cruz threaten to deport them or limit their constitutional rights to both free speech and the free practice of religion?
Your supposition that either Cruz or Trump would order the round up of muslims into internment camps is ludicrous.
Neither Trump or Cruz are suggesting such a deed. Trump is suggesting that Obama's illegal refugee program be halted until we can determine who these people are. Cruz is doing the same. Cruz is advocating monitoring muslim communities and mosques.
As for newly immigrated muslims to the US, they have no Constitutional rights until they become citizens. Citizens of any religion can buy guns.
As for the Refugee program, why are these people mostly Muslim and young males? The victims in Syria and Iraq have been non-Muslims. Tens of thousands of Christians, Kurds and Yazidis have been the victims. Yes, there have been Muslim victims who are complying with the Islamic State barbarians, but no one is mentioning the genocidal act of IS against those who are not Muslim.
Besides, there is a real danger of importing radical Islamic terrorists crap heads into the US. That's the concern. So stop twisting the issue into your Liberal fantasy of the Republican candidates rounding up Muslim citizens into Internment camps.
