Trouble in paradise?

Markov calls out Price after Blues loss

Things may not be well in the Montreal Canadiens' dressing room with a report that Andrei Markov and Carey Price had words following their 4-3 overtime loss to the St. Louis Blues last Wednesday.

According to the TEAM990 radio in Montreal, Markov approached the goaltender after the 4-3 loss in overtime and told him "If you are not going to play with heart, stay home. We don't need you here."

The radio station's account also stated the dressing room was split with some players coming to Price's defence and others siding with Markov.

The Canadiens had no comment on the report.

Price is expected to get the start against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Wednesday night. The 22-year-old has a 11-16-4 record with a 2.73 GAA and .913 save percentage this season.

Punchless Habs lose 2-1 to Florida

Poor Jaroslav Halak!

SUNRISE, Fla. -- One goal was a shot at glory, while the other wasn't so flashy. That mattered little to Shawn Matthias and the Florida Panthers, who needed them both.

Matthias scored twice in the third period to lift the Panthers to a 2-1 win over the Montreal Canadiens on Tuesday night.

Tomas Vokoun, who was making his 13th consecutive start for Florida, made 16 saves. Jaroslav Halak stopped 27 shots for Montreal. Tomas Plekanec scored for the Canadiens.

And, because Halak didn't win, idio coach Jacques Martin is likely to come back with the inept Carey Price in their game against Tampa. That's Jacques Martin coaching for you: "Eenie, meenie, my-nee-moh!" :D

This has to be the second most insightful post of the month. Once again, SO TRUE!!

How sweet that you have such admiration for your friend, just as he does for you. Although the rest of the world sees things differently, you two have the strength to ignore all evidence and blissfully exist in your own leafy paradise. Congratulations to the two of you on your harmony.

Thanks Ms. Cairo. But our friendship is nothing compared to yours with the other Habs fan. :D

Habs lost a crucial game towards getting into the playoffs , 2-1 to the Panthers.... a scab fans reasoning as to how much better they are than the leafs :

"hey, we only lost by one goal to the panthers, you lost by 2"

Since this has been rated as "the most insightful post of the month" by a totally impartial (HA! HA! HA!) Doc Holliday, let's look at the latest stats:

Toronto - 54 games played, 44 points (still!), a 17-27-10 record, including a phenomenal (chuckle) 2-7-1 in their last 10.
Montreal - 54 games played, 55 points, 25-24-5.
AND...since I know you like me to post about Detroit:
Detroit - 52 games played, 59 points, 25-18-9.

So much for insight!

But these are straight facts,JC.Numbers,stats.Both Detroit and Habs are struggling to make the playoffs but hogtown isn't even in the picture. Both are well ahead oh the maple laffs but it seems that, for some at least, they suck even more!

Habs show no life in 3-0 shutout loss to Tampa

TAMPA, Fla. -- The Tampa Bay Lightning got key goals, strong goaltending and finally have won three in a row.

Vincent Lecavalier scored a nifty goal and added an assist, Antero Niittymaki made 33 saves and the Lightning beat the Montreal Canadiens 3-0 on Wednesday night.

"Big saves. He played great," Lecavalier said about Niittymaki, who made his seventh consecutive start.

Martin St. Louis and Steven Stamkos also scored for Tampa Bay, which has its first three-game winning streak since beating the Canadiens on Jan. 27, 2009.

Montreal was coming off a 2-1 loss Tuesday night at Florida. Canadiens coach Jacques Martin remains tied for ninth place on the career NHL coaching victory list (542) with Billy Reay.

"It's disappointing to come down here and play two, for the most part, uninspired games," Canadiens defenseman Ryan O'Byrne said.

The Canadiens have lost five of seven.

"No one's going to feel sorry for us," Montreal center Scott Gomez said. "We've got to regroup. We've got to come up with a new game plan and go at it again."

I actually find that Kerry Fraser is one of the best referees in the league. However, when it comes to games involving the Habs, he's shown to have a very strong bias in favor of the Habs for nearly 2 decades. Every close or controversial call in games he's the referree goes in favor of the Habs!

I have heard from others that Kerry Fraser has favoured the Habs over the years. Fraser is not even close to being the best in the NHL....he has not worked the playoffs for several years.

EVERYBODY (well, okay everybody EXCEPT you and Doc) hates the leafs, not just habs fans. And I see you still haven't found anyone to explain the meaning of scapegoat to you.

Really lg, I couldn't care less where you and Doc "hang out". You're both consenting adults so it's nobody's business but the two of you.

I have no idea what or where Citi Bar is, but considering your fascination with the idea of men in women's clothing I can only imagine.

Listen lg, if visualizing men in ladies' clothing turns you on, that's your business. Go ahead, knock yourself out with this little obsession you have if it brings you pleasure. Sure, most people find your little secret a little strange, even perverse, but I guess it's your privilege (as long as you do it behind closed doors and don't offend your neighbors). Just do me one favor please and keep me OUT of your fantasies. Even through cyberspace it gives me the creeps!
