My early weekly picks because of the holiday down south tomorrow.

Detroit -5.5 over Green Bay.

Oakland +10 over Dallas.

Pittsburgh +3 over Baltimore.

My sure shot pick of the week is New York Jets -1.5 over Miami.

Legendary linebacker Tom Jackson on Brady who when his career is over will be remembered as the greatest legendary whiner in the history of the NFL and I quote- "I thought that Tom Brady's behavior was deplorable".

Congrats, Joe. A huge day. 3-1. You're now batting .500 for the season, having cut your losses to the vig only, -$2600.

Hello BOYZ,

Joe.t FOUND

Well, this is good for some great laughs. So what do you say when your team has lost 9 straight and then you blow a 10 point halftime lead. Of course you conjure up conspiracy theories to make up excuses why your team (or team betting choices) just plain suck. Does that sound like some sweet flaky guy we know so well. It looks like our beloved Joe.t has now been found. :D

http://nfl.si.com/2013/12/01/new-england-patriots-spying-antonio-smith-houston-texans/

“You can tell they changed their scheme in the second half,” Smith said after the game, per the Houston Chronicle. “It’s miraculous they changed some things on offense that keyed on what we put on this week to stop what they were doing. They did things they never did all year before. It was a specific thing that was important to what we were going to do today, as to how we were going to call the defense. We [had never done] it before, and they never changed like that before. It just let me know that something wasn’t right.”

Well, it could be that Belichick and offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels found it relatively easy to adjust to a defense that came into this game ranked 19th in Football Outsiders’ opponent-adjusted defensive metrics. Whether defensive coordinator Wade Phillips put in new wrinkles or not, it’s pretty clear that the wrinkles aren’t working — the Texans have lost 10 straight games.

Actually, Smith started to wonder if other teams weren’t getting the scoop on what the Texans want to do. Could this team be the victim of a league-wide conspiracy?

“Tom Brady and Bill Belichick are among the best at their craft because they work so hard at their craft. But you have to be a descendent of ‘Tonestradamus’ to know what we put in this week to be able to change that fast. I got the only crystal ball in existence. I don’t know what it is. Either teams are spying on us or something’s going on.”

“Tonestradamus,” by the way, is one of the loquacious Smith’s aliases. It’s one he likes to use when he predicts success for his teammates, such as when he foretold that linebacker Connor Barwin would put up a two-sack performance in late September 2012. Of course, that prediction was not accurate — Barwin had three sacks all last season, and he didn’t pick up his first one until Oct. 21.

We suspect that “Tonestradamus” newest statement is just as inaccurate, but the mind reels at the thought of what the league would do to the Patriots if they ever tried a Spygate sequel.

In a more serious moment, Smith gave credit to New England’s offense for adjusting to whatever it was the Texans were doing.

“It seemed like they made some changes. They made some calls that freed the tight end [Rob Gronkowski] up a little bit, doing a lot to the tight end in the second half. They were just making plays in the second half. Without seeing the film I can’t tell you how it happened or why, but that was the target in the second half and they found ways that they didn’t find in the first half to get him open.”

So you were doing well for a while building a decent 10 point margin, and the opponent came back to win. Suspicious huh. Surely that never happens in the NFL. There are no team personnel in the both or on the field analyzing plays, seeing what's going on then making adjustments to what you are doing at halftime. It must be a miracle, not good analysis. ;) The fact that your team has sucked for 9 games and you've lost other leads has nothing to do with it. This opponent has drone spies in the sky or a crystal ball or uses a Harry Potteresque potion to change form and break into practices.

Yeah there's something wrong. Your team is BAAAD! Grow up. Maybe Gostkowski is just a great kicker with TWO from 53 yards out. At least Smith said it about all opponents not only the Patriots.

VIDEO: For some good laughs watch Antonio Smith do his best Cry Like Joe.t act as he reaches for desperate loser excuses for why his team can't cut it.

I really like Marc Trestman, the coach of the Bears formerly of the Alouettes but he blew another one yesterday. A 47 yard field goal is no gimme even for the Bears great kicker. I know there is a risk of a penalty taking them out of field goal range but you have to at least try to get the ball inside the 30 before attempting the field goal. It was only 2nd down and 7 to go from the 30. I had the Bears at +3 so I pushed on my bet but I don't really understand the cost/benefit analysis of this decision. How about college rivalry week this past weekend. Some unbelievable finishes including of course Auburn knocking off Alabama on a 105+ yard field goal return.

Here is the actual video with a working link, leave it to a New England fan to post a video of a NFL player being brutally honest about the well documented shameful actions of that disgusting organization in Massachusetts.

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap20...n-texans-antonio-smith-suspicious-of-patriots

"You have to be a decendant of Nostradamus to know what we put in this week", disgusting.

BTW - Is it me or did the Patriots look absolutely horrible, just squeezing by against the absolute worst team in the NFL(32nd), this performance does not bode well for this team heading into the playoffs but then again New England need not to worry because they have the greatest cheater in the history of sports leading the charge.

Iggy - Your welcome bro, glad I can be of help, wait until you see my picks for this week, stay tuned.:thumb:

Oakland +2 over the Jets.

Tampa -3 over Buffalo.

San Diego -3.5 over Giants.

My sure shot pick of the week is Cleveland +11 over New England, last week Cleveland receiver Josh Gordon became the first player in NFL history to have consecutive 200 receiving yards, I will make a prediction that he will make it 3 games in a row this Sunday, It will be a treat to watch Gordon absolutely destroy Talib on Sunday, it should be fun to watch.

The Patriots must be the luckiest team in the history of the NFL! Luck seems to follow them game after game!

First off, that onside kick never made it 10 yards, and even if it did, there's no way that was pass interference in the end-zone. What a pile of manure!!!

THE CHEATER should have been embarrassed when he shook the opposing head coach's hand after the game. What a horseshit call that was!

The Patriots have had a lot of luck, but Gronkowski tearing his ACL is rather unfortunate, I would say. He seems injury prone, for a big dude.

I agree. They're a much better team with him in the lineup. Maybe his injury problems are due to poor conditionning, who knows. He seems to be quite the party animal.

But New England's problems start with defence, which they don't have much of. There's no reason to give away so many points to teams such as the Cleveland Browns.

Only Tom Brady & a lot of luck has bailed out their defence, game after game.

Speaking of lucky, that team in "new england" will be very lucky to make it out of the first round of the playoffs.

Hmmm,

I am surprised Joe.t hasn't come in and had his whining meltdown fest over the Patriots yet. Either he's matured, or he's still sitting there in shock with his jaw between his shoes. We all know it's "B". When he comes out of his current coma he'll get into the usually dirty diaper episode again.

Well, I'm not Joe and I'm not going to whitewash the call just because I'm a Patriots fan. There was very little justification for that pass interference call if there was any. It was a bad call. However, aside from not knowing what might have happened anyway, if you want to call that a gift then you have to admit they were also robbed definitely once and probably twice. That's how it goes in sports.

For 30 years as a Patriots fan my team seemed to be nearly always on the short end of calls. For the last dozen my team has usually been on the plus side. But it isn't all luck either. There's a reason certain trends follow poor teams and certain trends follow good teams. Good teams often make their own luck. The Patriots had to be able to get into position for this to happen. Otherwise even flukes don't happen.

Overall the Patriots are not in good shape. Their defense, which kept them in the win column at the start of the season, is badly beaten up, and their offense has sputtered even with Gronkowski. If it weren't for the second half team heroics led by Brady they'd be tied with Miami.

BTW: what happened to the Raiders? Does anyone remember that they are Joe's real team though he never mentions it for obvious reasons. The Jets are one of the worse teams in the league, especially inept on offense, and yet the Raiders gave up 37 points to the rotten Jets. No wonder Joe cares far more about crying about the Patriots than following his own team.

At least Joe went 3-1 this week, though his team is a bust, and the Patriots stuck another one in his gut.

Cheers,

Merlot

Conditioning has nothing to do with having his knee blown out by an opposing players hit. He does play the game with reckless abandon which may contribute to his injury problems.

I agree that conditioning, good or bad, was irrelevant on the recent incident. However, you have to seriously question the fact that over the past couple of years, he's spent as much time in a hospital than on a football field. And it's also quite well-known that he's a party animal. Party animals such as Gronk usually don't train much or pay much attention to their personal well-being.

Doc,

No the ball didn't go 10 yards. But if you know football you know that if the ball is touched by an opposing player anywhere it becomes a live ball as explained during the replay at the time it clearly was a LIVE BALL hitting a Cleveland player after going about 9 yards.

Nice rant though. It's funny seeing guys get irrationally pissed off about the Patriots. :D
