The Olympic Schedule has alot to do with it

And can someone tell me what's with the wacky schedule this year? The Habs play the Islanders here in Montreal on the 22nd and the 26th of Oct. with the Rangers in between on the 24th. Really strange.

EB, unless the Leafs start playing against PeeWee teams, I don't think there's any team that can be considered a push over for them. And even then, the Pee Wee's might give them a run for their money!

I'm pretty sure that the US or Canada Olympic women's hockey team would kick the Leaf's ass! :p

yea the Rangers are firing on all cylinders...... looking awfully tough after the first 2 weeks..... long season tho
Hey! The Rangers are 6-1 after winning tonight. Gaborik has 6 goals and 10 points in 7 games. Not exactly a pushover team for TO.

Tech, you do realise the scabs needed overtime to beat the leafs dont you? :p and in reality only Price playing above his head got you that win, and well, BOTH the Scabs wins, and both wins were in overtime not regulation, i dont think there has been much good to cheer about the Scabs this season, it's funny , scabs fans think there team is ok when it's in as much disarray as the Leafs, but then again, its early in the season..... thats the only bright spot for both the Leafs and Scabs, and that is it is only Oct 14th....

The Rangers are my pick to go to the cup, the signing of Gaborek was huge for them if he can stay healthy. Not sure if they'll win it but I think they'll get there.

Is this going the way that a bad team is to be identified this year - they only beat the leafs in overtime?

no whats funny is your team needed overtime to beat the leafs besides a goalie who was making save after save with his eyes closed
Maybe Toskala should play with his eyes closed also. He doesn't seem to be stopping much anyway.

scabs fans think there team is ok when it's in as much disarray as the Leafs
Here we agree. I have no reason to change my prediction that Mtl will miss the playoffs.

i did'nt see the game, what happened? ....Scabs finally beat someone fair and square w/o overtime???????????

No. Even with a game-tying goal that never should have counted, and with 7 players on the ice in the final minute....the Scabbys lost another one!!!!!! :D

(I'm not joking...they had 7 players on the ice around Anderson's net in the final minute, yet none of the refs saw it!)

They also had some black guy (i never heard about before) named Belle playing defense. I think he plays linebacker for the crummy Alouettes......anyways, he'll likely play his last game on Saturday before he's sent back to the Als.

...... however, i did notice someone walking around after the game that had a bag over his head asking scab fans to sign a petition to get gainey fired, GSG, was that you?????? :p i am sorry bro, i just couldnt sign it, i like the job Boring Bob is doing, THUMBS UP BOB!!!!!!!!!! keep up the good work! :D

There were 7 guys on the ice for about 20 sec, but the refs knew that Gill doesn't count. :D

Actually, the refs in that game were bloody awful...

A classy move by Canada Post to honour a classy organization like the Habs.

Meanwhile, in honour of Toronto’s 42 years of Stanley Cup futility as well as the team’s four consecutive seasons without a playoff appearance, toilet manufacturers are issuing a commemorative Toronto Maple Leafs crapper to be installed in all the washrooms at the ACC . The new crappers will be unveiled at a press conference prior to Saturday’s game against the Rangers as the Leafs look to run their winless streak to seven straight games. In attendance will be Toronto’s General Manager, Gasbag Burke and team ambassador Tie Domi. Using high tech imagery, the crappers will feature a strategically placed Leaf logo ... :D
