Damn. One more list I didn't make.
Trust me, you definitely don’t want to find yourself on that list. The individuals included are selfish; they come here solely to obtain information about service providers without offering anything in return, and they tend to recruit the community's most valuable contributors for their own benefits and their own platform.

Maybe a bit off topic but if I could describe the power of review I would say: killing the mood. Or drying up vaginas.

I will always remember one client I had that would clearly be measuring my body. Saying things like: what size are your boobs again? D? Or : can we switch to this position? And this one? What about this one?

Each time he would loose a bit of erection so I finally asked: Are you doing all that to put in your review?
And he said: yes! Its part of the fun!

What the fuck hahaha imagine not being in the present and only thinking about sharing your sexual proesses with your buddies. Just kiss eachothers already haha

I love your intervention here! Specially after the very disturbing admission that people here mess with our business by withholding reviews or writing reviews strategically, on purpose. :)

There will always be a category of guys with malicious intentions. Wouldn't be a first to find out some guys try to convince girls into trading positive reviews and "influence" on the board in exchange of xyz - this is exploitation. There has been plenty of such stories and public drama over the years (voiced by SPs).

But I don't think the "lack of" in a strategic purpose is the norm. I don't really see it as even being the main problem but more of a symptom of how certain changes over time have affected participation on the board. I'll say it again it really isn't the "community" it once was. And it will never be.

I used to enjoy sharing with a smaller group of people that truly shared the same interests. There was motivation in finding new girls, TOFTM was the norm because there were no pictures just a small block of text in some paper. So the importance of sharing back then was crucial. And from there you got to know some guys, and topics of interest multiplied to plenty of non-sw topics... again, a true community.

Now, I don't even bother writing reviews anymore. The most I'll do is react to an existing post (if even). For myself, the reason is simple, I never did it to help the girls. I always did it to help the guys (but was happy if it helped the girls as well). I used to love writing reviews, especially after meeting with a girl nobody had ever mentionned (I've since deleted most of those threads). But the moment some decided to criticize the style in writing (too long, too whatever), as if their opinions should have any bearing on how one should write was the final straw. I'm not going to be told what to do because someone who thinks has influence said so. Someone doesn't like something... they can seriously GFT.

The point I'm trying to make, is that the lack of reviews and activity isn't just due to a minority holding back. There just isn't any motivation for some of us to do so anymore. Why would anyone invest their time writing something which has already been said more than once? If it was just to help boost a girl, isn't that what shilling is? And with the influx of users over the years, I can't even say I relate to most of the reviews anymore. Clearly my personal tastes are no longer aligned with what I read.

Why do I bother returning? Schedules, restaurant tips, tv show / movie reviews, sports and politics.

(sorry for the long post, I did not have the time to write a short one).

You articulated your thoughts very well, and I fully agree with everything you said. I particularly resonate with your point about some members judging your reviews based on your writing style, length, and craft. I find this highly disrespectful, especially considering the effort you put into your reviews. It’s disheartening to be judge by individuals who contribute nothing positive to the forum and merely spread negativity.

Personally, I write reviews for newcomers to provide them with a clearer understanding of what to expect. I aim to help them avoid platforms like Leolist and to focus on service providers with established reviews. It’s disappointing that some members feel entitled to critique your writing style. I have great respect for those who take the time to write reviews, as they do so for the benefit of the community, despite having little personal interest in it.

I can understand your decision to stop writing reviews, which makes perfect sense. You’re not the only one who has raised this concern. Additionally, I agree that Merb is very different from what it used to be, largely due to the influx of negative voices from those who seem miserable and use negativity as a means to boost their own egos. In my view, that behavior is quite low, especially given that it’s done from behind a computer screen.

The disrespect isn’t limited to fellow members; it extends to service providers as well. While it’s possible to express negative review but as long as it done respectfully, many choose instead to demean them without any compassion and respect . Sadly, it’s often the same individuals with low self-esteem who act out behind the anonymity of their screens. You would be surprised at how many service providers come here to read their reviews, only to feel heartbroken and diminished after encountering hurtful comments from these individuals.

Many fail to understand that their comments can have long-lasting effects on a service provider’s confidence and their overall service. I wish more members would show greater respect and compassion for service providers on this forum.

Around the corner
I don’t really care how someone writes a review as long as there is a certain amount of respect towards the lady in question.
If it is more about themselves it just makes me laugh and if it just rambles on then I stop reading it.

After a while you get to know the reviews that you trust and the ones to ignore.
Personally I have never written a bad review simply because I have never had a bad session at least not to the point where I would write something that might damage her reputation or make her feel bad. There was one who I won’t name, she was a gorgeous lady who was actually great but I couldn’t get over her continually calling me babe, had she not done that I would have seen her again.
Now days there is really no reason for me to write a review as my ATF has retired and the other young lady I see knows exactly how I feel about her and she already has many positive reviews and I have reviewed her several times already.

Sorry if I didn’t read the whole thread. It’s too long and too late.

I will avoid writing overly negative reviews. What’s the point? I wouldn’t want to impact someone’s business. If I wasn’t pleased, I would just say something like, she wasn’t my type or we didn’t click or say nothing at all. To each his own. Not everyone has the same tastes.

On the contrary, if I had a good experience, I would share it and hopefully both the client and provider could benefit.

I am back on the market so to speak after a 3y relationship, i notice a huge price increase from most SP, reviews are important for sure, after all you don't want to spend a small amount for a bad service or a provider that doesn't offer the service they put in there ads.

I love BJJJ and also kissing and daty is the provider write no bar service all with condom i respect her decision but she is not for me.
