The Trump administration early Saturday carried out its 13th federal execution since July, an unprecedented run that concluded just five days before the inauguration of President-elect Joe Biden — an opponent of the federal death penalty.

Dustin Higgs, convicted in the killings of three women in a Maryland wildlife refuge in 1996, was the third to receive a lethal injection this week at the federal prison in Terre Haute, Indiana.

President Donald Trump’s Justice Department resumed federal executions last year following a 17-year hiatus. No president in more than 120 years had overseen as many federal executions.

By doing nothing to counter the pandemic, it's directly responsible for at least 200,000 deaths. So...

It is always a difficult decision to apply capitol punishment and take someone’s life, but did these murderers ever think twice of doing just that.
Trump did not put these criminals on death row.
Putting the blame of 200,000 deaths from the pandemic solely on Trumps shoulders is also as ridiculous as comparing it to capital punishment.
Which out of the 400,000 deaths did you in your wisdom attribute solely to Trump and how did you come up with that conclusion, perhaps you can enlighten us.
Was this by age, ethnic background or perhaps you think every Democrat that died are the ones Trump is responsible for.
You would think people had a brain and they would follow recommendations and not have to rely on one mans advice on tv or Twitter.

BTW did you ever think how many lives the introduction of warp speed and all the billions poured into getting viable vaccines in a year are going to save.

I agree with everything you wrote Fradi except about the benefits of warp speed. It turned out to be another case of overblown lies and hype . Call it warped speed . All the trump admin did was hand over billions of taxpayer money to big pharma and then wait for pharma in the US, GB , China and Russia to develop vaccines base on on the gnome of the virus China gave the world . Now this warped admin. is truly fucking up the distribution from vial to arm.

You have two approved viable vaccines in just over a year.
With two more on the horizon one of which has been approved in many places and soon to be in most of Europe and already approved in Mexico. I don’t know why Canada is lagging behind, wouldn’t surprise me if they have some kind of deal with Pfizer and Moderna to delay the approval of Astra Zeneca and Johnson & Johnson vaccines.


Billions had to be poured into this and the efforts to remove all the red tape to have them approved so fast.
Nothing like this has ever happened before, granted there has never been a pandemic like this or urgency either.

DONALD Trump has left the White House and fly to Joint Base Andrews for a farewell event before Joe Biden is sworn in.

Trump and his wife Melania were seen leaving the White House before boarding Marine One on the South Lawn.

The outgoing president landed at Joint Base Andrews and was met by a 21 gun salute along with cheers from his family and supporters.

Taking the podium as Hail to the Chief blared, he said its been an "incredible four years" and insisted "we'll be back".

He was met by chants of "USA, USA" and "thank you Trump" as attendees to his farewell waved US for flags.

"I will always fight for you, I will be watching, I will be listening. The future of this country has never been better," Trump said.

He added: "Have a good life, we'll see you soon" before leaving stage with YMCA blaring over the loud speakers.

Trump refused to mention Biden by name as he departed before heading to Florida, but wished the incoming administration a "great success".
