Can't give any prediction, but generally speaking...attorney generals and district attorneys only bring a case to court if they know they can WIN. They're both elected offices and they can't afford to look like fools in front of a judge. Voters don't vote for losers.
And with the voluminous and conclusive evidence plus witness testimony, Trump is not going to skate past this. It has taken the prosecutors nearly 2 years to construct their cases against Trump - and they wouldn't do so if their cases were weak. Plus, it doesn't get any higher profile, so I'm certain they've done their damnest to make their cases air tight.
I can't find Letetia James (NY Attorney General) conviction rate, but Fani Willis (Georgia District Attorney) has a 90.3% conviction rate.

Seems to me you are trying very hard to rationalize, with far-fetched justifications and illogical rationale, why a criminal defendant should not be held accountable. And by the way it's the independent DOJ and states' attorneys general who are prosecuting this criminal defendant and not the Democratic Party.It is possible that you are correct, but the consequences will be terrible. Let’s assume they finally get an urban/suburban jury of twelve people. Seven relatively well-educated women of various races, two Black/Hispanic men and three white men, all of whom are at least a tad Metrosexual. And they convict Trump who is herded off to federal prison where he gets Secret Service protection, which many articles have indicated he is entitled to. They will have to cordon off a section of the prison for the group, otherwise there is the very real problem of having the guns of the Secret Service agents too near prisoners. The Media and tge Talking Head experts will have a massive hard-on talking about that.
And guess what, it will alienate the rural whites who support him, and they will send more Marjorie Taylor Green types to Congress.
The whole thing is fucking stupid. The hardcore Trump supporters who are not traditional business-friendly Republicans like Kevin McCarthy are an angry minority, but a sizable one. Trump managed to fire them up and get them to go out and vote. Their participation, along with the traditional business-friendly Republicans and the evangelicals, put the Republicans in the majority. You don’t manage to “mainstream” this group, i.e., make them business-friendly Republicans, by jailing their leader. It makes them more radical.
And let‘s not ignore the obvious stupidity of the Democratic Party. They had a chance to move to the center and get the majority back by attracting the business-friendly Republicans who are horrified by Trump and their new “country cousins”. They chose instead to keep glorifying Bernie Sanders, AOC, and the like, fueled in no small part by the exploitive media that needs to glorify radicals. And the Democrats don’t seem to understand that the prosecution of Trump puts his name front and center every fucking day. Name recognition matters a great deal in politics. The more name recognition, the more votes a person gets.
Yes, it's true that Donnie is old, fat, way out of shape, has trouble walking up stairs or down platforms, and is even more of an idiot than before. If he hadn't always been a complete SOB it might even be possible to feel sorry for the mental and physical deterioration of the elderly fool. In fairness, though, he was always stupid, so the fact that he's even more so at age 77 isn't surprising.

Sidney Powell, trump's lawyer and co-defendant in the Georgia RICO case, has agreed to accept a plea deal in exchange for her testimony. The lies, the fraud, the attempts to steal an election he legitimately lost, etc. It's all falling apart for trump as the rats are leaving the sinking ship.

Great news! This will likely lead to many of the other co-defendants also copping plea deals. Every time one of these criminals confesses, their testimony adds to the evidence against the others. It's just too bad that it has taken so long (and it's still going on) to finally nail the fat treasonous piece of crap who's responsible for all of it.
The other bad thing is that Sidney The Kraken is getting off super lightly with her crimes being called misdemeanors instead of felonies. She'll have 6 years of probation (but none of the jail time that she so richly deserves), some comparatively small financial fines, and she'll have to write a letter of apology. At least her reputation (if she even had one) is ruined...everywhere and forever. Intelligent people already knew she was a liar who was criminally attempting illegal election interference, but now that she has confessed her guilt, some of the braindead Trump cultists and Magamorons might at least see a bit of the truth. Most of them are too bloody stupid for even that, of course, so the majority of the cultists will now view her as a traitor to their orange messiah. Thus, she'll forever be on EVERYONE's shit list for different reasons.
But even though Sid's sentence is way too lenient, it will be worth it if her testimony brings down the biggest criminals: Donnie, Rudy and the other heavy hitters who wanted (and still want) to overthrow democracy.

Love it! This was foreseeable of course because once Kraken Lady flipped, it was obvious that Cheesey would follow her for self preservation. The only bad thing is that just like Kraken Lady, Cheesey got off far too easily...but if that's the price justice has to pay to nail Donnie, Rudy and the other leaders of the treasonous crimes, then I guess we have to accept it as the cost of doing business.
Now the main goal is to toss Donnie and Rudy into jail cells and let them rot there for the rest of their wasted, useless, destructive lives. But it should be done quickly because they're both decrepit, old decaying men and they won't be here forever.
