try this. when you buy tofu, freeze part of it. then once tou unfreeze it, it will have a completely different texture and will be porous.

then slice it in thick slice and marinade it. it will absorb the marinade alot. finally, pan fry it and enjoy. thats gonna be quite different than fresh tofu
