Hi guys.

I tried shaving several times and now I am shaving myself at home.

I am sick and tired of shaving because after 1 day, it becomes itchy and painful (red spot). I would like to try waxing but I heard that it is very painful. I also heard that waxing should be done by an esthetician who knows how to do it and not by anyone.

Could you recommend me the one and share his experience? How much painful is it?? How long does it last after waxing?

Thanks.

I shave 2 time a week but never had a problem with red spots itchy and painfull and I just use a disposable gillette.

A gay friend told me he once tried getting it waxed and told me never to try it, the pain was incredible...

PS: why is this in massage section?

Stay away from waxing, it is very painfull. I did a waxing once and my testicles were nearly ripped off my body. I was also offered anal hair waxing, but I stayed away from that. My shaving experience is that if the blade is gently applied to the skin with no pressure, than there is no itching. A good quality sharp blade also helps, stay away from the single blade dollar store blades.

damn, i am so glad i am not a hairy guy, i feel for your pain guys, seriously. but, doesnt when a person waxes, it is a one time thing, or is that something different? if it is a one time thing i would think the process would be worth it although painfull

try this guys..

copied and pasted from a site:

Laser hair removal – if you are sick and tired of the daily or weekly ritual of creaming, shaving or waxing and want a more permanent solution then this is for you. Thanks to modern science laser hair removal is the most recent technique that appears to provide good and permanent results. Basically, the larger the area of unwanted hair, for example back or legs, the greater the number of treatments required. This could be a key factor in your decision to use this procedure as treatments can be rather expensive for large areas.

Well what an interesting yet uncomfortable subject for most. Gents (and ladies) I believe success is a matter of personal preference and your body make up, hair style, skin sensitivity, etc. Everyone reacts differently to different methods. I can personally say that I have tried numerous types of razors, including an electric body groomer which was my worst experience. I have also tried many types of shaving creams and gels. The most successful method I have found to date is a ladies Venus shaver and hair conditioner.

Relative to waxing...I have heard from a people in the know who have very sensitive skin that sugar based waxes work the best with much less irritation. The wax is removed in a way that is peeled or rolled off rather than ripped so the pain is minimized.

Have fun:rolleyes:,

Converted to waxing!

I was a shaver for years until recently that is, I can now say that I’m converted it’s waxing only for me. Yes it is a bit painful, I find a couple of your favourite pain reliever a half hour before helps. The key to the whole thing is having the skin pulled tight. What I really like is when the hair does start to grow back in it is very fine and soft, no more stubble!!! I repeat every 5-6 weeks much better than shaving twice a week, plus it’s always good when a woman plays with your boys. I have waxed my back for years so it wasn’t a big deal to try the whole meal deal, back crack and sack!

Just do it!

Wax on, wax off

I have been waxing for years (the back etc.)

hiredgun is right, it's not too painful but as long as you follow these steps:
1. DO NOT drink any caffeinated drinks or eat chocolate about 24 hrs in advance,
the caffeine makes your whole nervous system more sensitive to pain or any other
sensation. So avoid as much as possible in advance.
2. Definitely take aspirin or advil (I take 3) about an hour before the waxing starts.
3. Waxing the balls is definitely more painful than other areas because the skin is so
sensitive and thin in this area and as we all know, full of nerve endings. But the major
benefit is that this whole area becomes much more sensitive to touch afterward. ;)
The other benefit of waxing the balls completely bald is that it looks more appealing to women,
and they are far more likely to BLS because there won't be the turn off of pubic hair. (If any
SP would agree, by all means add your comments or correct me if I am wrong).
4. There is supposedly a special wax just for the balls and sensitive areas. Ask the esthetician about it before she starts. It is applied directly to the skin, but instead of using cloth strips to pull it off the esthetician rolls it off or pulls with her hands.

As others have mentioned it also does not grow back as fast as when you shave. The first time is
the worst, but after that if you go every month or so, the hair roots don't grow in as firmly, causing the hair to be removed more easily and less painfully.

I have gone to Zen & Vie on Du Parc where Angela a Chinese lady has worked for years. She does an incredibly good job. A quick internet search will give you the number and address.

body hair - yuk!

Ahhh waxing. Nothing worse than body hair. Hair only belongs on the head. I will not go down on a hairy bush and I cant stand stubble. Therefore, I shave to give the SP a break when she goes down on me. Now, if the agencies would only list who waxes and who does not, this would help me speed up the selection process. Not too many girls wax in Montreal.

When you guys go meet a MP or SP, do you guys go fully clean shaven? or is there some hair. I just don't mean the jewels, but chest, back, etc.

Thanks in advance :)

For shaving anywhere, use a quality cleaner first, clean good (scrub), rinse, then use quality shave cream (Clinique M) and a fresh razor.

You will probably get various answers to this one. As for me, yes, I shave everything just before: chest, back, pubes, etc.

R

For myself, I have been shaving down south for years, and from time to time, I do get the red dots ( razer burn) I have waxed before, and the first initial PULL of the strip will hurt like hell, but it will get better with time. Its one of those things that if you only do it once, of course it will hurt, but the more often you do it, your skin seems to expect the pain, and deals with it.

Shaving down below is similar to shaving your face if your a man, But the skin tends to be more sensitive. So you cant shave it like your face.Make sure your balls and surrounding area is very most, use shaving cream NOT soap, soap will dry that area, and make it pron to razer burn, With the razor, shave small area's, not long strokes. It may take a while, but the end result will be smooth and no razor burn.
