If you visit the USA, here's some helpful advice: don't ring the wrong doorbell, turn around in the wrong driveway, or mistakenly get into the wrong car otherwise you might get shot.

But if you add mass shootings into the mix, that's only a portion of things you shouldn't do. You can't go to work, church, synagogue, concerts, grocery stores, birthday parties, a park and even more places I've left out.

It's funny (morbidly funny) that all this talk of the emerging war in Sudan has killed 600 in a few days when far, far more people have been killed with guns in the US this year alone. In other words, a nation not at war is outpacing a country currently at war. It's sad.

As I have noted before and proven with statistics from the federal government and apolitical research organizations, blacks are in much greater danger from other blacks than they are from white people. The recent mass shooting and murder in Alabama is another example of a black-on-black mass shooting and black-on-black murder. All of the victims and all of the shooters are black. Shockingly, though not surprisingly, both the victims and shooters were young blacks.

When half the privately owned guns in the world are in the hands of Americans and they don’t want to part with them it is almost political suicide to try to suggest strict gun control or heaven forbid eliminating guns in the hands of private citizens.
When you have a society that actually believes that arming teachers in schools and more people carrying guns with them will keep them safe there is little hope left.
It will take a whole new generation or generations with completely different mind sets to even put a dent in this mindless love of firearms.
Btw I don’t hate Americans a good portion of my close family are Americans, but I do hate guns they are not for self défense they are for killing people period.

Assault rifles are indeed for killing people.
Guns are rarely used for self defense except in movies.
Now in USA, assault weapons are used for hunting too ! Probably for self defense against woodchucks and deer !
When I was young, bolt action, lever action an pump action rifles were used.

Last year at the closing JazzFest concert with the Roots there may have been 100,000 people in an area surrounded by tall buildings. Virtually zero police and no “sand trucks” blocking intersections.
There is no way I would have gone to a concert like this in the US.
In Las Vegas in 2018 an older guy killed 60 and wounded 413 at a country music festival from his hotel.
The only thing Canadian border patrol asks is if I have weapons.

Since I live in a city with a large black population, I fear getting shot by a gang banger much more than by some mentally ill white man or trans man (such as in Nashville).

As I have pointed out before, according to data collected by the FBI, blacks make up well over half of known homicide offenders (53%) in the U.S. That is incredibly higher than their percentage of the population (13.6%).

There have been some Asian (VA Tech, Monterrey Park) & Hispanic (El Paso, Uvalde) "mass killers" but betting on an 18-25 yo white guy with an AR-15 pays less than even money.
