Really???
I was so disappointed! It’s not a bad movie but i felt the story was kind of rushed. Maybe i would have enjoyed it more had i seen it in a movie theatre, who knows.
I don't see how you could do a movie about Napoleon without rushing the story. Most biopics are 2-2.5 hours, you have to sacrifice something.

They should have a Netflix 8-10 Episode series to tell the full story. Rushing and compacting history is never appropriate!

The 2012 Film on Lincoln by Steven Spielberg was generally loved by critics but I was disappointed that it didn't show other aspects of Lincoln's life, including his long, distinguished and successful career as an attorney before he went into politics and eventually became President, or his very famous debates with Stephen Douglas which lifted him up into national prominence. Those debates were the start of a rich national tradition of debates in the U.S. Yet ignored by the movie!!!!! Disappointing!!!

I can’t disagree. Napoleon’s story would be better told in a miniseries. However the interest from viewers might not be there so it probably will not be made in the near future considering the production costs it would incur.

NOPE
I watched this sci-fi movie yesterday mostly because it’s a Jordan Peele movie & i’m a big fan of his work. It got great reviews after it came out. I really liked it but for me the best Jordan Peele movie was the first one i saw which was Get Out. For those out there who are unfamiliar with Peele’s movies think of The Twilight Zone. Of you’re a fan of the various Twilight Zone series or The Twilight Zone movie than you’ll love his movies.

I really liked Nope a lot! It was inspired by different genres and really made you think. The main character is really likeable

I agree. I absolutely love good filmaking. However these type of films are not for everyone. And although i liked them very much & own both movies i’m not sure i’ll want to watch them again.
I am a huge fan of this type of film and I understand why they are not for everyone. When I saw brandon cronenberg's new film in the theater last year for example the friends i was accompanied by really disliked it but i personally enjoyed it

True but he doesn’t speak much. The girl was the movie’s most interesting character in my opinion.
i agree! i think i relate to him because i'm also an introvert who's passionate about what i do :)

I like how Peele disguised the title of the movie in an acronym. NOPE- Not Of Planet Earth but, both Get Out and Us were better definitely.

The Zone of Interest

Anatomy of a Fall

Same great actress in both movies.
Both were really good and yet I think Past Lives was better than both of them and Greta Lee really deserved a best actress nomination over Annette Benning for NYAD. Celine Song first screenplay and first time directing, Her husband wrote Challengers with Zendaya. Check out the Wim Wenders movie Perfect Days.

Us, there were some very subtle hints that Lupita Nyong'o character switched with her doppelgänger in the funhouse as a child. One of them was in the car ride when she is trying to tap to thee rhythm of the music and she is trying to show her son how to do it and she is off. I liked the Hands Across America tie in. Have to be of a certain age to remember that from the Reagan 80s.
