What's a good tip?

How much is a good tip for a session. I was thinking 20%?

I think back on two killer experiences I've had in the past, and I gave the envelope and that was that. Looking back, I was almost temped to PayPal like $50 to the ladies, even though it had been years, since I remembered it so fondly. Is there kind of an etiquette?

It depends on how much you valued the experience. That's how I tip. But whatever you do, don't send one via PayPal. I got lost on Twitter researching indies and saw an SP asking about deposit alternatives because PayPal is anti-sex worker. You learn something new every day.

some guys just give big tips like $50 or even $100 bucks, and that screw it up for everyone else, also spoil the girls where they expect a tip everytime
Why does tipping screw it up for everyone else? A well deserved and good tip means better service for repeat meetings. And spoiling the ladies means getting spoiled back as well as other YMMV benefits. I always tip well when the service is good, pays off in the end.

Me too. Then I realized from the many of the SPs' reactions, especially those whom I repeated with, that they didn't expect tips. Tipping did not seem to change the service level when I saw them on my repeat visits.
Why would it?

I don't get it. A tip (in any industry) is meant to show appreciation for good service. It's not meant to come with an expectation that you should get more next time.

Am I misunderstanding?

I prefer crafting a personalized gift or give flowers with a word.
You get instant appreciation reaction because you did efforts to please her.
Worth more than any tips when giving it.
Once repeated, I usually don’t have hard times to get high mileage.

what i would do is the following, BEFORE the session, but the girl I would give her $240 for the session, but $250 if she makes me happy.. this way, she will worker hard to make that extra $10.. not to be cheap, but anything over $10 set the wrong expectation for the girls and screws it up for other mongers.. just my 2 cent

set the expectation upon, tell her about the extra tip BEFORE HAND.. also anything more than $10 is too much.. not everyone is rich

I definitely dont want to be the gentleman who tells a $240-$400/hr SP that she"s getting a $10 tip BEFORE the action starts. Most of us are probably not rich most probably not cheap either. The key is "well deserved tip" and it is discretionary (unless you are a group of 8 or more, like at a restaurant hahahaha)
I still dont see how being appreciative as @Anna Bijou said, to a SP or anyone actually, can ruin it for others. It might create jealousy in others, but not ruin it.

A thread like this one shows up from time to time about tipping an SP. Long before prices jumped into the $250's for an agency and $600 for an indy the tipping debate was around. It's not about the prices being charged. I can understand how someone would say that tipping will ruin it for the rest of us. Tipping is not part of the deal when paying for the hour IMHO. The expectation of what to expect for the established hourly fee is something that is already in place. If we all start tipping what is regularly expected within the hour it will now no longer be the norm. You'll eventually have to tip for GFE services that are typically a given. So I can understand how tipping could "ruin it" for everyone. As far as paying extra for CIM or anal that's not a tip, that's paying for something in addition to what is expected for the hour.

If you have a special request like an outfit, service, something not normally offered on the menu then sure a tip can be given for something like that. For the standard GFE service paying for the hour should be enough IMHO.

No doubt only "have to" pay the agreed rate and there is no obligation for all of us to tip.
So your recommendation is no one tip to avoid ruining it for other "clients"? Hmmm.
But dont mind "ruining it" for the SP who works harder than the other hundreds of competing ladies for our business?
I'll keep tipping, where well deserved, so far it pays off nicely.
