When you arrive at a SP and there is a smell of smoke?

Before the pandemic, this happened to me several times, because the majority of SP who advertised on different platforms didn't talk about it.

On the other hand on Merb several SP have websites or are on Twitter, and they mention it.

Anyway, I don't like that smell.

I smoke cigarettes, never in my house! I try very hard to hide/minimise the breath and smell. So, no, I dont like a cigarette smelling incall place, but the worst for me is the weed smell or breath, to a certain point where it could be a dealbreaker.

Big turnoff

I repeated to see a SP for the 2nd time and smelled too much smoke from both the place and her mouth

That was the last visit from me

It should be written in the sp profiles (as well as the tattoos) as they are both major turn-offs for me. Never tried a cigarette or drug and no intention to do so either.

Some situations that have happened to me during these many years in the hobby:
Before Merb = the disaster
With Merb = 90% satisfied.

My first SPs were chosen on A123, then on AI.

1) I arrive, it smells of cigarettes, I stay anyway (brain decision between the 2 legs). I tell the girl about it, if you come back there will be no more smell. It was 10 times worse. Did you smell a camouflaged cigarette smell with a push-push? It was too much, I walked away giving her $ 20.

2) It smelled of grass in the corridor of the block. Damn fool I stay. On the other hand, I have never returned. This smell followed me, in my car, at home, I had to do several washes to get rid of this skunk smell.

This is indeed a big turn off for me. Especially when the clothes exude that smelly "halo" and you know you'll have to wash all your clothes (winter wear as well) when you get home just to get rid of it. This is part of my screening test now.

In conclusion, the smell of cigarettes, and even more the smell of cannabis (skunk), for me it's a big turnoff.

I love it when SPs write on their non-smoker sites.

Or the opposite, like that it is 100% sure that I would not take an appointment.

Of the girls I've met, I'd say a good 80% smoke one or the other (or both). Even as a light smoker myself, I never take a smoking room due to how bad it smells and really don't like seeing a girl that smoked one just before my arrival.
But If it bothers you guys.. I would make sure to ask beforehand. (putting it in the ad probably not really sexy)

Sene - I totally agree. Once a SP showed up at my hotel room wearing a Canadian tuxedo outfit and the smell of smoke oozed off her clothes. I wondered if she was a heavy smoker or she was wearing tobacco perfume or maybe she bathed in cigarette smoke before she came in. Maybe denim retains the smell of smoke longer than other fabrics?

Well this was pre-COVID but I still maintained a distance of 3 feet from her. After she left the smell of smoke remained in the hotel room and even my sheets smelled like tobacco. I was actually concerned that the hotel might charge me a cleaning fee for smoking in the room. This was the one and only time that I had a problem with the smell of smoke, but it was a big one.

I’m a non-smoker; I’ve never even had a puff. I’ve never dated a smoker, but I’ve accepted the fact the incidence of smoking among sexually promiscuous attractive young women is far higher than average. My brain even sort of associates the stench of smoke with sex, and perversely it’s sort of a turn on.

This is the first time I hear this.

But, as they say, it takes all kinds of people to make a world.

Thanks for sharing it.

surprisingly a smokers breath was never an issue with me ,,, perhaps something to do with PeterMcMillan’s post above and me being more tolerant as an ex-cigarette smoker , albeit it was a really long time ago ... still of course given the choice I’ll take a smoke free environment.... but I understand how it’s a deal breaker , and in this industry it’s true that there are a lot of casual smokers ... and unfortunately for a lot of hobbyists a mouthwash or keeping a few windows open in an incall or an air purifier ain’t gonna cut it

P.S - where I might have a bit of an issue is with the smell of weed and that’s only if I’m meeting people afterwards ( otherwise I don’t mind the buzz) ...I used to see this Indy SP where afterwards my clothes and even the interior of my car would retain that smell ... I’d have baking soda and buy a few air fresheners and would do the laundry when I got home ... but in the meantime I had to try to mask the smell with something so I’d use cologne , sometimes I purposely put so much that they knew I was coming a block away

Around the corner
I stopped smoking 11 years ago was never a heavy smoker and started very late as I didn’t smoke while I was playing sports.
I can’t say I like the smell of smoke, never liked it even when I was smoking, it irritated my eyes, it was more of a social thing and a way to relieve stress.
It is not really a deal breaker for me I am a pretty tolerant person, but luckily the ladies I have been seeing don’t smoke and the one I see most doesn’t smoke weed either, we do however share a love for good wine.

Yesterday while going to the grocery store there was a person who smelled of cigarettes, it confirmed to me that I am no longer able to endure this smell.

And the kind of cannabis that smells like skunks is even worse.
